Can I add Southern California to that list that badly needs an update? Los Angeles' data is incredibly outdated. For an area that sees so much aviation, Im hoping SC gets an update soon.

There are lots of addons for California, especially LA San Fransisco and San Diego over at flightsim.to as well as a number of payware airports and landmarks.

Maybe they keep it for another update. UK cities or London only with some additional POIs. They already have new photogrammetry data as can be seen in Bing Maps.

One can only hope.

As my other forum account was quoted by the OP at the start of this thread in an edit, and not to detract from the city-centric discussion, apparently the flying boat is by Oliver Moser, not Bluemesh (though the towboat asset looks the same, so maybe some crossover there). Regardless, it adds flying boat #5 to the pile.

Absolutely stunning.

EDDK was made by ini

There's files prefixed with 'ini', there's also reused KJFK and KDTW textures in the files.

They are iconic, visually impressive but arent systems heavy meaning easyish short development periods.. Personally I love having them and own all of them.. Im hoping for early post war airline jets soon like a Comet 1

I had a first look at this edition of EDDK, but it doesn't resemble real EDDK at all, unfortunately. It has ugly brown-colored buildings unlike the real ones So far I have been using Aerosoft's EDDK and prefer to continue to use that one. However, I haven't found an option to disable this new EDDK without uninstalling this new City Update. Can anyone inform me how to disable only this new EDDK without the new City Update?

Thanks a lot.

Kind regards,

Did a short flight over Ghent: I can now truly say that I can see my house from here 😃

I do agree that some of the locations from earlier updates are in need of some care.

Undercarriage lever a bit sticky was it, Sir?

Go to your Content Manager. Search for EDDK. Delete the one you don’t want. FYI, if your airport is contained in a larger update like a city update, you may need to expand that package to find your desired airport but that is the process basically.
Good luck,

Thank you very much. I forgot to expand the city update in Content Manager. Will do so first thing tomorrow.

Interesting. I don't have brown buildings. I have never been to EDDK so you know it better than me.

Overall, I prefer the new version. Photographs I have looked at don't make it look the most attractive airport in the world, but the newer version seems closer to those photographs to me.

You can also type EDDK in the search bar and it will show all the available (installed/not installed) Köln airports.

Having uninstalled the Aerosoft version of EDDK to try out the new included one made by inibuilds, I'll probably elect to keep the included version if they can optimize it for better performance. The Aerosoft version was no problem at all even with moderate traffic whereas the new inibuilds version is quite choppy with no traffic.

Thanks. I will uninstall and reinstall this new city update then. Something must have gone wrong during installation, I guess.
