It might be included in improved ATC, but I want pressure in millibar where appropriate, instead of Hg all over the world. If this is not corrected in MS2024 I won't get it.

There, I said it. That'll teach them! 😅

Add to that correct transition altitudes, not everywhere in the world is 18000ft.....

Get a decent ATC program like PF3 and you will get proper transition altitudes and  pressure readings.

Still on the fence for one. I am considering getting Beyond ATC when it's out. Nevertheless, I think the sim should have it by default, it's kind of basic...

Cheers, Bert

But wrong or mangled callsigns, and no way to fix them 😞

I use PF3 (since FS9), and sometimes I think of downgrading to default just because of that.

What callsigns are you talking about?

Every single airline that has started operations (or changed callsigns) since 2016 at least. For example, ITA Airways (callsign ITARROW). For the meantime, I had to revert all my ITA AI aircraft callsigns to Alitalia, if I didn't want to hear ITA spelled out.

I understand there are other ATC utilities that use a text-to-speech engine that solves this problem (FSHud maybe?). Furthermore, MSFS default ATC does this.

I just use a couple of major Airlines, like Delta, so I don't hear that. Now default ATC, that's another story, 5 miles from intercepting the ILS and you are told to climb to 14,000 feet.  LOL

And an external AI program. And a plane that runs its flight dynamics using an external program. And an external seasons program. And an external weather program. Etc… The way it’s going, the only thing MSFS is providing is the scenery.

Hence the reason for the topic. Features we want INSIDE the MSFs program itself.

I'd love to have aircraft not to spawn on the runway but at the runway's holding point.

You're right. That's what pushes me back to PF3 and their lack of callsigns😂

Except for some user aircraft, the rest is a replacement of something already inside MSFS (ATC, AI, seasons, WX) but not good enough for our purposes.

What would I like inside MSFS 2024? FSR3:

And, if possible, in MSFS 2020 too! That, and seasons working out of the box, as in P3D/FSX and before.

The ability to start flight cold and dark at the exact position and cockpit saved as I left the simulator last.

My visual improvements wish list:

No more tile popping/swapping and, if possible, better imagery resolution in general

No more / massive reduction of terrain morphing / better mesh shape retention (also goes for photogrammetry)

Night lighting improvements: Much further draw distance of the lights at night and no more sepia masks. And more realistic light orbs, esp. for VR.

Photogrammetry: procedural flattening and replacement of cranes and similar structures with 3d models, like they will do with trees.

Cliffs/coastlines: The coastline „fix“ implemented a while ago may prevent water from running up the cliffs, but it also led to some weird looking coastlines. I hope they find a proper solution for this, eg by implementing better DEM together with better shape retention.

Snow/ice: Use of high-res snow data and decoupling of frozen water from snow data, i.e. no more frozen lakes as soon as there‘s a little snow. Moreover, frozen sea based on meteorological data rather than snow coverage as is currently the case.

More realistic sky colours at dusk and dawn.

More and better rain/snow effects around the aircraft and ground vehicles: spray, wheels leaving traces in snow and slush, wiper wiping away the rain etc.

Better looking clouds / more types. Also better effects when flying through clouds and cloud surfing, i.e. reflection of aircraft lights, better feeling of speed etc.

I‘m sure there are more things that could be added to the list but these are the ones that first sprang to my mind.

i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2

Correct model matching in Multiplayer.. no more generic Airliners and Bonanzas when a 3rd party livery is used.. 😎

Only a tiny thing in the weather settings which is simply WRONG (I've pointed already to it elsewhere, but displaying images inline somehow didn't work - now I got it working). Who can tell? 😉

First, you can choose (in the general options) between U.S. system, metric and hybrid.

Please!! No stupid snow cover in mid summer and not linked to freezing water surfaces… or an off button

snow is good but only at appropriate resolution otherwise it’s one of the worst things for me in MSFS2020..

so please please please!!!’
