But maybe that's just in my nature. If someone tells me some Mexican restaurant is the best ever, I'll likely try it and then say it's more or less the same as Taco Bell

Are you sure you’re the right person to be evaluating flight si….er….anything, then?😅

It is pretty clear Asobo actually are influenced by user opinions and requests, and do take them into account.

Now you’re contradicting yourself. It’s a clear as mud to me.

 Dubai

Happy flying

Dubai enhanced with the Orbx package is quite good. For a contrast, go and fly, not far, the mountain range of the Oman Sultanate, the al-Hajar peninsula southwards. Some interesting flights and landings.

I did this already. I bought a Maskat scenery time ago and investigated the desert and mountain region afterwards, albeit not with a chopper. Should do it again. It's an interesting desert/mountain region, no doubt.

Kind regards, Michael

I don't understand why people continue feeding someone who has been given a week off but came back reloaded with the same agenda.

Just go and enjoy MSFS and don't pay attention to the guy who enjoy "Real Simulators"

I don't understand why you do the same thing either.Another follower who is more aware than me of everything that happens to me.

If Asobo could take care of me as much as you do for me...

@turbomax,

You suffered so much for years with these first otherworldly simulators without being able to photograph anything with them that today after a long exposure when you fly over something that looks like a city for the first time on MSFS 2020 you talk about it like it was an exceptional and grandiose simulator!, you even talk about it during dinner... You are under the influence of ecstasy to be so happy tell me? Too much visual information at once...

Whether you like it or not. To my eyes, MSFS is average in too many compartments , an illusion simulator. His cartoon side ruins everything in addition to bugs!

It's thanks to people like you that the MSFS "style" will still exist for a long timeGet ready, and stay next to your fire hose, it's going to be fire everywhere, you'll love MSFS 2024.

Something that looks like a city for the first time? Fs9, FSX, and X-plane, among others, all met that test years ago.  MSFS has gone way beyond that with satellite-streamed real-world scenery and photogrammetry that shows, to a high level of detail seen from altitude, the actual cities, towns, and rural areas down to the last bloomin' barn, silo, shopping center, and driveway! The fact that some folks cannot recognize a revolution -- and MSFS 2020 is revolutionary, by every definition of that word -- when they see it is unfortunate, and to me inexplicable

And for heaven's sake, aren't all simulators (flight, train, whatever) illusion simulators? What would be an example of one that isn't?

Finally, for someone who loathes MSFS 2020, it is curious how much time you are devoting to disparaging it.  But this is a common phenomenon in troll country. No doubt more rants will be forthcoming, until, inevitably, this topic is mercifully locked.

For me this statement in particular is the primary thing that invites dragging MSFS 2020, and probably soon 2024 as well, through the mud and urinating on them. It's a statement I've seen frequently, and I'm not entirely against it, since it's also the sim I use the most at present. But maybe that's just in my nature

Yeah, that's your nature.  MS/A knows full well even users like yourself and others like yourself chronically focused on what's wrong with the sim, they've delivered a product far and away more compelling as a package then the other two sims which have existed for 25 years and that is why you and the others use the sim the most if not exclusively.  Duplicating what's present in P3D/XP will certainly grab users from P3Drab, and XtraPlain, but they could care less about them because they're a relative handful by comparison to the market they're really courting.  What I know, and you won't admit, is that you're in this sim because it delivers the best experience currently.  Filou says he can hardly use the sim, and when I hear that I just feel for him who is so focused on what's wrong he can't handle what's so very right.  There needs to be a special subforum for those who's cups are 7/8 empty so they can properly wallow together, all the while continuing to use the sim the most.  A feature of this set of users is they have the hubris to believe it's their constant degrading comments that drives improvement in the sim which I'm sure relegates them into a bucket of chronic whiners, and so are effectively ignored by MS/A.

Always the same method, right? turn your sentences to your advantage while discreetly appealing to the moderators. I don't care about weeks off. Relax and have fun.

It is precisely because the cities are beautiful and magnificent that the simulator is good.

I expect the minimum from what I bought.Atc, live weather representation, behavior of planes on the ground  and air traffic.I can half turn a blind eye to the rest

I imagine that you are using MSFS 2020 while watching a women's volleyball match on fine sand at the same time to forget all the subtleties of an aerial simulation.

OK good !

If you like desert and mountains another area in the region which deserves a couple of low and slow flights is the Socotra island in the Gulf of Aden 😃

Some people are just out to get threads that are a little too positive for their tastes, shut down. Best way to avoid that is to ignore them.

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

For me you are too focused on the terrestrial visual and it is not because the cities look better like cities than any other simulator that MSFS is excellent.A lot of things spoil this visual potential.

The team is almost complete at the call...

There are two sorts of thread wreckers: haters and worshippers. They  do a remarkable cooperative job, don't they ? The thread should not be closed. I am for the other solution.
