November 18, 20232 yr Which one is the most study level single engine turboprop between FSR500, TBM 850, SWS PC-12? Regards, Haseen Ahmad.
November 18, 20232 yr Alright, here are my two cents: PC-12: Not released yet, so we don't know. So just speculation - Flight model seems to be really, really close to the real plane, Alex (the Dev) is a wizard in that regard - Systems fully modeled - BendixKing Weather radar missing on release, will come at a later date - No failures, so hot-starting the engine etc. will have no effect on it. Will come later as an upgrade TBM 850: - Very deep electrical and hydraulic system simulation - Engine model is OK but not without its flaws - Flight model feels alright to me (altough what do I know, never flown the real thing) - Sounds are default, so pretty bad IMHO - Big plus: TDS GTN750 NXi literally **is** the real Garmin GTN750 NXi, so that's very nice! - 60 KTAS faster than the M500, which is nice Overall: Love the plane, the systems and avionics are simulated very deeply, only the sounds let it down (and I've come to realize that sounds are really important in a Turboprop simulation) FSR500: - Also very deep systems simulation - Spot-on PT46A engine simulation - Custom WT G1000 NXi --> Might be a flaw, since the WT G1000 is missing quite a few features the real unit has - Really, really nice tablet - The sounds are absolutely outstanding - I love, absolutely love the flight model of this thing! So stable, a joy to hand-fly - Really cool Discord community, Raul (@simbol, the developer) is just an amazing guy ❤️ - No paint kit yet, but coming very soon - A few minor niggles in the G1000, but those already are rectified or will be very soon - Big minus (😉) : White glareshield --> Can be fixed by replacing the texture with a black one from one of the liveries on fs.to Overall: For me the best release for MSFS in 2023 (well, the A2A Comanche is better yet, but it's just so insanely slow, I can't fly that) As you can see, I really like my SETPs in a flight sim 😉 Edited November 18, 20232 yr by psychedelic_tortilla Intel i7-10700K @ 4.7 GHz | Nvidia RTX 3070 FE | 32GB DDR4 RAM

Absolutely, especially considering its all done internally in MSFS and Asobo has done a real hatchet job on the turboprop simulation in this sim. November 18, 20232 yr SWS PC-12 isn't a consideration as it's not released. Between the FSR500 and the TBM-500 - they are both absolute top drawer. Extremely comprehensive but in slightly different approaches. The FSR500 has so many immersive features and functions included. The TBM puts it's investment into purely the operational and system realism. I love them both. I slightly prefer the flight handling characteristics of the TBM. I fly both 50/50, I'd say. Get either. You will have made the right choice. Then, when funds allow, get the other one! November 18, 20232 yr I have both the FSR500 and TBM. FSR500 is the best aircraft between the two IMO. It's just very well done and I prefer flying it over the TBM. I do like the TBM vintage though as I learned to fly on analog so it takes me back to the good ol' 90's. The sounds are the biggest drawback on the TBM as it uses mostly default 930 sounds. The buzzy prop sound at cruise is the worst feature...it almost sounds like what you would hear outside the aircraft. I hope they do some custom sounds at some point, it really is the biggest drawback on an otherwise great aircraft. The FSR500 sounds are fantastic. I also love the EFB in the FSR as it makes my life easier😆 Edited November 18, 20232 yr by Flic1 Eric i9-12900k, RTX 5070ti OC, 32GB ddr5 5600 RAM, 2TB 980 Pro SSD, Titan 240RX AIO, Samsung CRG90 49", Win 11

November 18, 20232 yr Any GA aircraft that are considered to be top level but use default sounds really miss the mark for me when all things are considered. Latest video at The Flight Level Flight Over Frozen Lake Erie - Between Ice and Clouds - Ultimate Solitude - The Perfect Memory
November 18, 20232 yr Yea, the PC12 is not released so not much can be said. But given that the developers have said failures are not modeled, hence no hot starts or hung starts means that, at least at release, it is not in the same category as the FSR500, TBM 850. I have both the FSR500 and TBM850 and as others have said they are both excellent aircraft. Both have a very good model of a turbine engine -- probably the best we have had in either MSFS2020 or Prepar3d/FSX. Both have excellent systems simulation, with the TBM850 seemingly to be a little deeper, particularly on the failure simulation. Not having piloted these planes in real life I cannot comment on how their flight models correspond with the real aircraft, but both "hit the numbers" and both react as I would expect an aircraft of their design to operate in the air; both are a joy to fly. As others have said, the absence of a high quality sound set on the TBM is a real drawback. The absence of proper back-up instruments, fuel shut off, and working GCU keypad are, for me, small but bothersome drawbacks to the FSR500 -- although I know for many these aspects are not that important. The immersion with the FSR500 is great, especially the connections with the world outside the aircraft and its tablet design and functionality is top notch -- to me the best tablet/sim interface that has been produced so far, and something that is not present at all in the TBM. Personally I wish both aircrafts showed a little more wear and tear in their texturing -- the M500 in particular with its white seats and floor looks to me to be too pristine, more like a vehicle from a Star Trek movie than an in use aircraft. Beyond this, you also need to consider the type of aircraft. The TBM is primarily analogue while the M500 is full wall-to-wall glass. The TBM flies a little higher and much faster, so another consideration is the type of mission you are using the aircraft. Personally, I really enjoy both aircraft and you cannot really go wrong with either of them. I will skip the SWS PC12 until its failures and weather radar are modeled as these are just must-have features to me at this point in the overall developments of MSFS. November 18, 20232 yr I enjoy them all... I prefer the TBM because it's quite a bit faster than the PC12 and M500. And I also prefer mostly analog mixed with occasional glass like a GTN or GNS. Default sounds don't bother me on the TBM but I note the M500 sounds are very very nice! It's clear both the Black Square and FSR developer's have out a lot of love and care into the in depth systems aboard each of their addons! I'll still buy the SWS PC12 even though I have the Carenado. Early renders didn't look as nice as Carenado but their most recent discord posts have shown some excellent texture updates in the SWS so I'm excited for that. November 18, 20232 yr Not sure I really understand this comment: "Personally, I really enjoy both aircraft and you cannot really go wrong with either of them. I will skip the SWS PC12 until its failures and weather radar are modeled as these are just must-have features to me at this point in the overall developments of MSFS." I was not aware that both the FSR500 and TBM850 product offered fully functional wx radars. I guess I will have to do more research. Thanks for the heads up. November 18, 20232 yr Don't have the TBM from BS but I can vouch for the 500. When SWS releases their PC12 I will get that as well. Never had an FSreborn product but I am very impressed. SWS I've always loved and supported since their Kodiak release. By far....at that time....one of the best GA/Commercial turbo props released. In fact, I'd venture to say it's still in the top 5 category for many simulation enthusiasts. Need something that has the PC12 features, speed and STOL capability in a near study-level plane. Black Square products are excellent even if they use some default textures/sounds. Their King Air and Bonanza are one of my favorites. 7800+4090+64ram Just Flight RJ, 146 and F28, Piper Arrows ---A2A Aerostar and Comanche---Black Square Starship, Duke(s), TBM, Bonanza/BaronV2, KingAir---FSReborn FSR500---COWS Da42---FX P180, HJet & VJet---FlySimWare Chancellor and LearJet---FlightSimStudio EMB175 &P2006T---Fenix 320---PMDG DC6, 737(700+900), 777---C22J---Milviz Cessna 310 & Porter---SimWorksStudios Kodiak, PC12, Zenith & RV14---BigRadials Goose---IndiaFoxEcho MB3339+F35.
November 18, 20232 yr I have the both the TBM and the 500. Both great but I will also pile on and say that I do prefer flying the FSR500. It has a bunch of extras as far as simulation goes beyond that electrical and engine simulations. One major thing for me is that you really get the feel of doing a complete walk around even though you're checking all the systems in the EFB tablet. You still are able to check the tires, brakes, de-icing boots, etc. before each flight. - They both fly great but the 500 adds a little extra.
November 18, 20232 yr I tend to agree I like BS TBM but FSR500 offer extra touch which make simming more enjoyable! Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F).
