Super excited about this one Scott, once again another diamond aircraft that you and your team have released so an appluad all round.

This may be a little tangent but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask.

Do you know if we'll see any update previews or releases on the following:

- UNS

- A300-B4

- RJ 100

- F70/F100

I'm especially excited for the A300 haha. Completetly understand if you can't answer now 🙂

What a time to ask! 😃

Obviously right now our full attention is with the Vulcan.  That said we'll soon have in-development updates on all of the above for you. We have a lot to show off!  Just bear with us for a little while longer.

Thanks.

Looks at watch...bangs top of monitor...nope, it's still not there...

It was alright, I suppose. I saved £7:25 using my Clubcard, and there was an "Any Three for £7:50" deal on freezer meals.

The Valiant was really a very plain looking thing. Kinda surprising give the striking appearance of the other two.

Are you kidding? The Valiant is/was gorgeous.

The really plain Jane was the forth strategic nuclear bomber we built.

Never heard of this? Google Shorts Sperrin….

A looooong time ago when I worked at St Athan we used a Parked up decommissioned Vulcan as a store for the paints we used in the aircraft restoration Hangar, the only way in to get some paint was via the ladder up the nose leg and via the cockpit...I used to love being volunteered to go get some paint and it would always take me long enough to spark up a cigarette and sit in the cockpit dreaming (elf and safety wasnt really a major thing back then) always amazed at how poor the view was, you  cant see any part of the aircraft from the cockpit.

Nah I agree with him about the Valiant, personally I always had a thing for the Victor, I remember being shown around one and learning that it had an artouste turbine buried in the wing root as an APU...the same turboshaft that actually got  used as the main powerplant in some helicopters (Lama or Alouete  I seem to remember)

P.S. If you are a Vulcan fan pick up a copy of Vulcan 607...its the best factual V-Bomber book you'll read and its first hand account of the Black Buck missions is truly gripping

Isn't that partly explained by a desire for the flight crew to retain their vision after the nuclear flash?
The V-Force airframes were initially painted white for a reason.

AMD Ryzen 5800X3D; MSI RTX 3080 Ti ; 32GB Corsair 3200 MHz; ASUS VG35VQ 35" (3440 x 1440)
Fulcrum One yoke; Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack Airbus edition; MFG Crosswind rudder pedals; miniCockpit FCU; CPFlight MCP 737; Logitech FIP x3; TrackIR

MSFS; Fenix A320; A2A PA-24; HPG H145; PMDG 737-600; AIG; RealTraffic; PSXTraffic; FSiPanel; REX AccuSeason Adv; FSDT GSX Pro; FS2Crew RAAS Pro; FS-ATC Chatter

If you look at the generous view afforded from a Victor cockpit, I don't think that can have been the main consideration. (I seem to recall that the V force bombers had some way of blanking out the windows in any case?)

I think the reason that visibility in the Vulcan is so poor is simply because it's hard to fit a lot windows in given where the cockpit ends up being.
