Frame generation for all RTX cards

This mod worked wonders on my 3080 but I decided to get actual FG and update to a 4070 super.

  • Really? It's night and day difference. I'm testing the mod right now, on my "old" 3090, and I get a steady 60 fps, with PMDG 737-800, parked at FSDT KORD, at 5120x1440 32:9, I barely hit 40 befor

  • I'm testing this right now and my mind is blown.  I now understand why all the hype about FG.  3080ti, 4K, mostly high/ultra settings and have been pegged at 60FPS on first test flight in the Fenix.

  • I was one of the people who basically ordered an RTX 4000 series card only because of Frame Generation. And FG is really impressive.  Now I'm glad everyone gets to participate in that experience.

Same here. The mod has too many glitches, so I ordered an RTX 4080 super.

The one that isn’t released yet?

Expected 2/2 as part of a Cyberpower PC system.

Okay thanks. I guess as long as it is smooth that is all that matters.

Yeah that’s what you’re looking for with FG really.

Be interested to hear how you fellas’ experience is  with native vs the mod.

OK. Verdict. Anyone successfully install this with their 2080ti and does it work for msfs?

Works with all 2000 and 3000 series cards.  You do get some artifacts and ghosting but for the smoothness and 60 FPS, I find that a price worth paying as it's not that bad.

Yes sir it does. By "successful" means we need to compromise with the minor tearing screen and ghosting. But the smoothness and high fps fairly compensate the negative. In an ideal world, RTX 20 series is just capable of what Frame Generation has inferred, but surely it will be a drawback for Nvidia's marketing strategies :D.

I'm using the mod with my 3080 and TAA, no ghosting at all, just some flickering of the 2d menus.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Mine's a 3060 Ti and runs beautifully... Just a few glitches in the 2D menus when I exit flight sessions - and even so almost unnoticeable.

Yet, I do limit the FPS using Adaptive 1/2 Refresh Rate in NCP or NVI. 30 FPS is more than enough for my eyes and simulated flight experience...

No ghosting (I don't even really know what that is), no artefacts, nada here with a 3080ti. Smooth as can be at 60 FPS. Menus and things like Navigraph charts flicker and so on, but that's no big deal.

Quite the same move here. Decided to opt for the 4070 ti super. 16gb vram should be enough for the 3 years to come.

I'm worried that it won't, so I'm going to wait and see how well the AMD FSR3 will work when ASOBO implements it in the sim, if it works as well as I hope I'll upgrade to a Radeon 7900XTX instead.

I personally think FS2024 is going to be completely different in terms of resource use and what the CPU-GPU performance balance is going to be.
