January 22, 20242 yr I use it in VR and it’s very good, it gives the cramped feel of the real cockpit (I sat in a real one once while I was doing my citation type rating , the company also had a Lear ) No issues reading the engine gauges, I remember having to lean over onto the copilot’s side to look at something, but I suspect I’d have to do exactly that in the real aircraft too. Overall a great aircraft for VR, really good to look over your shoulder to turn base and seeing those iconic tip tanks out on the wing. 787 captain. Leaning over or doing a quick peek on the nook and crannies in the aircraft, and the cramped feeling one gets is what makes it for me in VR. It so realistic and would highly recommend VR. January 22, 20242 yr I have noticed that the textures (and numbers on gauges) get crisper the more you lean in. seems to happen with other aircraft too. The only one I can think of that is always crisp is the PMDG 737. Makes my G2 (run super sampled using OpenXR toolkit) seem like a $2000 Aero or Pimax, so it must be possible. also, it isn’t the heaviest in frames, but also not the best. I am getting around 25-30 on my setup. For comparison, the Longitude is worse (20) and the Maddog and 737 are better (40)

February 5, 20242 yr Textures , sound , systems - each update brings something new. Very dynamic development. Also there seems tons of actual Lear pilots hanging out on flightsimware discord. They share their experience or comment on something. One pilot in particular mentioned 35a thrust reverse is loud and more efficient. Boom ! Few updates later we got it fixed sound and thrust reverse performance . I personally have zero regrets buying early access . I also glad to learn a lot of real life ops shared on discord. March 10, 20242 yr I have a C414 and it is wonderful! Is it time to buy Learjet 35A? Is it on the same level?

If You like the 414 you’ll love the Learjet, it’s a challenging handful to fly manually but that’s half the fun. 787 captain. June 19, 20241 yr Having problems with the ILS capture using a TDS GTN 750. Heading mode and hitting GS with ILS for NAV1 is arming Loc and GS but it is not capturing it 9 times out of 10. Often it Captures but does fly it. Am I missing something ?

DLSS usually blurs things up for me a bit, but in VR, even my 4080 chugs along at TAA so I try to stay in DLSS unless I want super readability. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

At the moment the TDS is using the original AP system contained within MSFS... This original system does not have a VLOC/APR capture mode. I mean it does but it's not really working like a real one. Most of the default aircraft use the WT "behind the scenes" AP which does have an APR arm/capture system. My technique for you would be to remain in GPS and NAV mode (with an ILS loaded in the GTNxi) until you're established on the localizer, then switch to vloc. Or, remain in HDG mode with a 30 degree intercept and wait until the HSI CDI is 1/2 deflected (but moving towards center) and then press NAV/GS (or APR in other aircraft). It will intercept but it will be shallow... I would be at least 5 miles from the FAF for this method to work. As I understand, TDS has mentioned they'd like to convert their devices to work with the WT AP, which would also allow modes like VNAV/VNV to function! Development just takes time 🙂 | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
June 19, 20241 yr But my TDS works perfectly with 5 other good quality addons in MSFS. It is purely the FSW Lear 35A that shows this very inconsistent behaviour. It will work sometimes and other times... not. Even using Heading Mode with the TDS not even active and it's terrible. Edited June 19, 20241 yr by Denny_Crane_747
