Just curious if anyone can recommend a new set of quality speakers.  I currently use a mid/low end system that were like $70 6-7 years ago.  I currently fly the Fenix and want more quality to hear more of their sounds clearly.  Any suggestions?

Audioengine. Night and day from what you have. Get the best model you can afford...

I recently picked up the logitech Z533 2.1 speaker set. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality. One thing that stood out for me was how well they did with low frequency more bassy sounds. Starting the engines on the PMDG 737 sounds really incredible.

I recently bought the Logitech G560, great sound quality and a reasonable price.  When I needed new speakers these ones ranked high on most of the usual PC websites.

As.mentioned in the other thread, good headphones will always beat good speakers.

I have the Logitech Z625 https://www.logitech.com/en-us/products/speakers/z625-gaming-speakers.980-001258.html

They are pretty loud and sound really good.  It took some getting used to after they replaced some really older ones.  The tonal quality with music was a lot different, but with some tweaking they are probably better.  They are great for the sim, it's just music that often sounds different with computer speakers.

I really feel like using headphones versus speakers, for music or the sim, at the same volume, puts more impact on my ears if I use headphones.  IOW, hearing loss.

I have the Logitech Z333 which are good. My only problem is that I have a radio ham next door and I get 'breakthrough'. Still, I suppose it gives realistic background chatter!!!

I use Audioengine A2+ together with their Subwoofer S8, a killer system, but honestly I prefer to use good quality headphones, right now I'm using Beyerdynamic 1990 Pro + Soundblaster X G6 DAC/AMP.

Klipsch Promedia. I have an older 4.1 and it’s 20+ years old. Plenty of power and a great subwoofer.

I also use the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 system. There cheap and work very well. Recently I decided to further improve the sound, I bought a pair of Definitive Technology Pro Monitor 800's. (non-powered) and replaced the Klipsch satellite speakers, still using the subwoofer and volume controls. Now everything sounds amazing. You can unbolt the volume knob from the bottom of the Klipsch speaker and mount it to the bottom of your monitor too.
