Cloud turbulence is there. It's very good.

Oh, OK.  That might push me over to purchase.  What should the MSFS setting for turbulence be with the program?  Thanks.

From what I have seen so far in the promo material, the drop down menus suggest quite a bit of complexity, or fine tuning of variables, can be dialed up.

But can you also run it fairly 'simply'. ie, don't need to spend 15 minutes before a flight punching in variables data?

Just start program, load flight plan from simbrief, and take off.

that's up to your preference. Leave it at default and adjust up/down as you prefer.

Personal preference. Tweak as needed, but I had it at Low beforehand anyway because that's what Fenix recommends. As an additional data point, @Damian Clark has also mentioned that the effects were developed with Low turbulence in the MSFS settings.

Just want to say that based on my experience IRL sometimes cumulus can grow from little puff to a huge cloud in a matter of minutes, especially over mountains. So I think to incorporate something like that would sound reasonable as part of smoothing transition

Amen! When I was beta testing I saw a bit of the cumulus clouds boiling and morphing. Reminded me of my old flying days with bright blue skies and brilliant white cumulus and they were moving and changing shape as I went by. Beautiful but deadly.

Because there are a lot of "streamers" who are completely inept and only interested in click bait for subscribers. Talk about scammers. I haven't seen all the streams but so far the ones I have seen indicate that the user doesn't have a clue on how to use the product.

It's sad and awful because many people follow and take into account the opinions of these guys.

I can understand that for many ASFS doesn't make sense because they use VATSIM weather or think that MeteoBlue's "live" weather results are good enough, but... scam?

Just watched about 1hr of Q8’s stream. He seemed pretty certain that AS was the cause of his weird Fenix issues. Not convinced, as he seemed to still have some issues after he quit AS.

“Looks like the culprit was most certainly AS”

“It's seems that Active Sky has created all sort of problems”

You still compare the IRL clouds from below with the ASFS clouds from above. Doesn't make much sense.

You've got to look at the video.

You're saying you took the flight with Rex and ASFS, or just Rex?

Only REX as I’m yet to purchase AS. But since the price is less than a pizza delivery I’ll get it and do some in-depth comparisons when I have the time.

Cloud turbulence will be in FS20 in the default live weather.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Can you elaborate on why do you think a flat cloud layer is realistic

The real photo is actually a flat cloud layer with a turbulent bottom.  My second comment is ActiveSky for MSFS has been released for ONE DAY!

Whatever some people may think about the product, nearly 400 replies and 26000 views in a thread that is barely more than a day old indicates a significant level of interest.

Did that, but the real photo does not show the clouds from above, so comparing the clouds in the sim from above make no sense.  From what I saw, many of the in sim photos are FAR to over dramatic to the real sky.

Yes, it was confirmed and could be reproduced. It should be solved now with the latest Beta of ASFS.

It's hard to believe......26 pages of rant and useless info....Not even one to explain how this thing actually works, how to  start, settings, anything....I mean...okay. AS Running but incorrect weather. It's rainy as per data and sunny outside. What needs to be set, where....Some Chewwy streams whatever for 3 HRS video and nothing..... Fantastic. Am I missing something? Anyone can post the link with "how to",  from someone who is not complaining about something. Thank you
