Something is officially happening with the PMDG 777

I always thought when PMDG list the price of an aircraft on their website a release of that product is imminent...and I don't mean PMDG's flight sim product price but rather Boeing's list price.

I thought it was usually a round 9,999,999 USD... I mean 150M + would be absurd.  At least 10M is feasible (for Jeff Bezos LOL)

I would get the 737 MAX but god knows how long this is going to take.

All we know is it will probably be released before all the 777 variants release.

The price of a new 777-300ER is around 375 million.

True. Though no-one is paying list price on a 777-300ER now.

In fact, it's suggested that a newish 773 with KLM is worth just $89m in 2023. https://simpleflying.com/boeing-777-300er-2023-worth/

So what’s the consensus, 1-2 weeks before release?

The only thing that would hold PMDG back is the SU 15 release, although I remember somebody mentioning here in Avsim that Randazzo said the release of the 777 isn't contingent on when SU 15 is released (I don't recall Randazzo mentioning that but I often glossed over his 777 updates in the PMDG forum so I didn't read his updates in detail).

If SU 15 releases though, then for sure, SU 15 shouldn't be blocking PMDG from releasing the 777.  Personally, I would say within a week of SU 15 releasing, I think the 777 could be released.  This is just a guess by me, nothing more, I don't have any special inside information.  It does seem close to release though, I can't imagine it taking another month.

Thanks. I think SU15 could open the floodgates to lots of releases given what’s on the roadmap. Could be a very exciting month in general for MSFS.

I think she is not coming this month tending towards the end of June..

cheers 😉

I think the launch date will be given a few days after SU15 drops. Then likely a week or so of streamers showing it off. Hopefully the ones that do, actually know how to fly the plane properly, and not like some that don't have a clue.

We have been very intentionally **not** sharing many videos or images of the airplane because we don't want to get everyone hyperventilating until we know for certain that we are done. When we begin to publish more detailed images, descriptions and video- then you know the wait is nearly over.

Is 777 Gonna Be A Surprise Release?:

No. We will give you at least two weeks advance notice of the release date.

Robert says it will be out within 2 months and we will get 14 days notice of the release date.  My guess is early June.

the freighter is the only one I will get.  While I'm excited for it, I much more would rather see the 744 release.  I'm going to guess that's in danger of 2026 at this point.
