Does seem like there's some improvements in cloud structure and definition, though hard to say from all these quick shots.

  • I am absolutely hoping for this.. imagine a flight sim where you could hop in and out of any vehicle without having to go to the main menu.. you could fly a heli, land on a field explore the world, th

  • I'm really tired of this argument. You don't want missions? Fine, just do your thing as you used to. No one calls DCS an arcade platform even though it has plenty of missions, so why say that about MS

MS 2024 looks amazing, and it's interesting that it will run on the current Xbox platforms, which means they must have offloaded a lot of the sim to the cloud and AI. It also means that PC users will be able to run the sim on current hardware which is good news.

And enough with ranting about the clouds. They're good enough because anything more complex would require a super GPU just to render them.

They've really improved the lighting since the last trailer

I have watched it 5-6 times now. It gets better for each rerun 🙂

The shots of the sky were quick, and also don't know with the camera mode and depth-of-field settings if the background was in full focus, but does appear to be improved clouds rendering as well as types? At 0:30, 1:05, 1:47, 2:09, etc.

Does this depict new high altitude cloud types? I'll take this and everything else shown in the trailer any day all day 🙂

Nice hair structure ... will it move realistically with the wind?

Yup definitely looks it.. I believe the re-written atmospheric engine only came in after last year's trailer, part of which got backported to MSFS 2020.

Ah, the resident X-Plane fanatics are making their apperance in a desperate attempt to mock. Then you know they did well.

So the PC-12NGX shown in this trailer was just CONFIRMED by SWS in their Discord that it is NOT theirs…Interesting!! I wonder who’s doing the APEX avionics then…

Don't even mention X-Plane. Graphically, the sim is still stuck in 2010.

That's surprising, when I saw it I thought "SWS about to announce something".

Looks like the angular size of the moon has been corrected (reduced) too. I was really hoping for better Cumulonimbus and other cloud type rendering. Other than that  it looks pretty cool!
