All sims have their plus and minus points MSFS 2024 is looking very nice indeed. I hope they are still working on colours and lighting or at least we will get some sliders to customize them so that the sim looks more like reality and less like a Disney movie. Completely agree. June 9, 20241 yr November 19th release? That will be quite the birthday present for me - that will be the occasion of my 67th orbit around the sun 🙂 "...now let's get this thing on the hump - we've got some flyin' to do!" ~ Major Kong from "Dr. Stranglove" Scott Cebula

One thing I noticed in particular is how alive the ground looks. The light seems to be properly bouncing of off the ground and in between the buildings making them react to light more realistically. Way better than msfs2020. Thanks for doing these comparisons. Deserve a thread of it's own. Edited June 9, 20241 yr by Baber20 Baber My Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/HDOnlive

June 9, 20241 yr The trailer looks fantastic. Hoping that existing FS2020 owners of various add-ons like myself will receive a discount for the FS2024 version of those add-ons. Does anyone know if Microsoft will make their weather API available/'unlocked' in FS2024 so that e.g. Hifi or Rex or other third party developers can use this for their weather add ons in a more enhanced way?
June 9, 20241 yr Quote Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is the next installment in the Microsoft Flight Simulator franchise. It is the most ambitious consumer flight simulator ever undertaken. It features the largest, most diverse and detailed fleet of aircraft, the most complete representation of airports and air traffic, and the most visually stunning rendition of Earth ever created. This brand-new simulator is designed to take advantage of the latest technologies in simulation, cloud, machine learning, graphics and gaming. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 goes beyond merely operating the aircraft; it will allow simmers to pursue their dream of an aviation career. from their press release. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. June 9, 20241 yr To the people wondering if 2024 will only be in career mode need to think this one out. Having career mode is actually good for us more serious simmers. This feature will bring in more users to the game. The more people that use this platform, the more revenue they’ll bring in and that will allow MS/Asobo to bring folks like Working Title to give us simmers what we actually want. Just look at those avionics upgrades. I’m convinced that MS and Asobo want to make MSFS as real and as close to real life aviation as they can get, but it’s also smart of them to have it be accessible and enticing to everyone. I have to admit, sometimes, with a toddler, I only have an hour or two to fly and maybe some of those career mode flights would be fun, especially when they look as beautiful as they do in the trailer. Add in some cool audio scripts and bespoke graphics that are relevant to the mission and I’d bet that’s a pretty fun hour spent.
June 9, 20241 yr The missions look fun, but thats not what im into. That thunderstorm didnt look any better than fs2020, I would have liked to see more about the weather and flight model. The clouds and sky look no better than what I am used to from 2020.
