June 9, 20241 yr Exciting times for flight simulation. I hope they are still working on colours and lighting or at least we will get some sliders to customize them so that the sim looks more like reality and less like a Disney movie.
June 9, 20241 yr Looks great. Love all the people and animation stuff, not bothered about the role-playing (or the clouds/weather/flight model stuff etc), and it'll be interesting to see what aircraft/cities etc come with the package. The real beauty of it all is that even if it is not actually up to the same standard as the teasers on release, I'll still have an extremely excellent sim in the form of MSFS2020 to fall back on. And for me at least, 2020 is so good at the moment I'm not desperately twitching to get at the new release. I'll get it on day one, almost certainly, but if it got delayed six months it wouldn't worry me. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I hope that this will open the door to monthly updates of what we can expect in terms of updates. There is the hint of a career mode but nothing of how Indepth or customizable it will be. I saw emergency services with rescue, and VIP flights but what about tube liner operations? I want a list of what new. They should be enticing me to upgrade at this point. I want info on weather, study level aircraft included (or close to it), flight model and ATC improvements. Same here. I am really surprised that after one year of silence they basically show the same meaningless trailer again. 99% of the audience will not distiguish this from last year, if they remember at all. For such a niche genre I would have expected a little bit more details now, why this thing is so much better than the last iteration of the fanchise. And you can present that also in a gamer oriented exciting way.

We've already seen plenty of evidence pointing to the career mode making the sim more realistic in general. Think about it. Most real world pilots have a career in aviation and the sim is looking to authentically replicate what they do. Aside from that, they have said they want to make the most realistic sim on the market so i wouldn't worry. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.
