July 24, 20241 yr Sorry if this has already been discussed, but there are tons of replies on the thread...Just wondering if anyone has found any benefit from using DX12 with LSFG? July 25, 20241 yr Is anyone else having problems after upgrading to version 2.2? I am seeing ghosts of the image of the plane and the lights of the runways with a double image, but it only happens with nighttime scenarios, with daylight at least they are not noticeable. I don't know if what I see as ghosts is what the forums call artifacts. Eduardo Lee (MROC)
July 25, 20241 yr G-Sync is not working in version 2.2. At least not for me. On my OLED TV, I can bring up an overlay displaying VRR info. Using LS, refresh rate stays fixed at 100 Hz. As soon as I unscale, refresh rate changes with FPS. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

If you want to use it on top of classic frame generation on a RTX 4000 series card, DX12 is obviously a must. If not, it might be THE advantage of LS that it also works with DX11. But since Asobo fixed the most annoying drawback of DX12 (ground tile bleedthrough), I see no reason why to stick to DX11 Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

I guess I'll have to fire up the sim later today and check it out. I’ve gotta say, DX11 feels so much more robust. It’s snappy, frame times are far more consistent as well. I hope LSFG can stabilize further, because DX11 with frame gen is the holy grail. DX11 with frame generation via LSFG will always be kind of a workaround and will never reach the same quality that is possible with the dedicated solutions provided by nVIDIA and AMD. Like you, I haven't tried DX11 for several years. Pretty much since I got the 4090 oct '22. But I get excellent frame time consistency (as long as I don't run crazy high AI traffic) with DX12 and native frame gen. I've tried LS many times now, and never been completely happy with it. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

I went back to DX11 because my 3080 12GB VRAM is completely saturated at many large airports. And you're right now that I think of it, it does seem to provide more consistent FT. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB

Set TLOD to various LODs in MSFS just as a test...maybe try 50, 100, 150, 200, 300 etc. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB
