July 16, 20241 yr ok so i have downloaded it and i would like to use it with dx11 can someone please direct me with what settings i should use with 144hz monitor thanks mike

I'm glad because at many larger airports VRAM usage with DX12 gets perilously close to all 12GB on my 3080 12GB. With DX11 I have plenty left - of the couple airports I tested last night 65%-75% usage vs up to 97% or a bit higher with DX12, May you please post your settings in lossless for using dx11 . Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike I'm also running 144 Hz, however, I have a monitor with hardware Gsync so for MSFS I am able to lock fps using RTSS at whatever fps works for my system, currently 19fps and using X3 mode in Lossless to generate 57fps - works great. July 16, 20241 yr I'm having great success with Lossless but for one annoyance - I frequently lose mouse focus in the sim. To restore the mouse pointer I have to click anywhere in the lossless UI and then all is fine again for a while. I have a three monitor setup (main 34 inch with a 22 inchers on the left and the right). I tried things in Lossless like Clip Cursor, Scale Cursor, Adjust cursor speed, Windowed Mode On/Off etc. all to no avail. Any of you Lossless fans with a multi-mon setup seeing this problem? If so, have you been able to fix it? And use your settings in lossless? Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike Should work fine...I use RTSS for fps lock as others have suggested benefits from using the front-edge sync option in RTSS, but before I had RTSS I used NVCP for fps lock. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB
July 16, 20241 yr Im still getting some laggy panning around then it smooths out when using the app, the frames never drop 40/120 when the lag happens,, which is odd Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
July 16, 20241 yr Well my fps is at 48/144 But when panning it is fluctuating and slight jittery when panning. Dx11 Mike
July 16, 20241 yr I do use LS from time to time. But it has its limits. The other day I was landing at a packed (almost 200 AI aircraft) LTFM Istanbul in the 777. Without LS I got a stuttery 30-40 fps. With it I got an equally stuttery 70+ fps. What I’m saying is that even though it can double (or triple) fps, it won’t necessarily be smooth if the load on the cpu is too high. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Dx11 Mike I suspect if you turn off LS and leave fps locked at 48 and pan and look around you'll see the same issues - as Cpt_Piett mentions above - if you're CPU is overloaded you're going to get stutters. This is the very reason I have a Gsync monitor - so I can lock at any fps up to the max refresh rate, including very low fps lock that allows my system enough headroom so I rarely get stutters. Post your system specs (including monitor resolution) - it will be immediately obvious whether your system is capable of smooth 48 fps under a broad range of loads. One also needs to be reasonable with Tlod and traffic, both can humble even powerful systems. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB

You seriously think that I'd pretend to buy something that cost me less than 5 quid?? I run MSFS at 30fps and i get great enjoyment from it running scaling at highest resolution, i do all of that and using 'optimal performance' my msi afterburner stats tell me i'm using 1200 hz on my GPU, and power draw of about 60-70 watts. Using this my GPU goes to 1740hz and watts to 100-110 . That is what i see and that is what i commented on, so i won't be using it. I have since tried it with Red Dead and it worked well, capped at 30 use this app and get to 60. Also worked ok with ACC (sim racing game), it is a bit of a pain tabbing out and it doesn't always mean i can use the mouse, so to be honest my choice is to just leave it all as it was. Is that ok with you? If your liking of something is so fragile that you need everyone to confirm to you about your choices, that's your problem. That's on you, me personally i don't like it but at under 5 quid i really can't say i'm bothered i purchased it and would highly suggest others just buy it and test for themselves.... What I don't know, because my cpu is so weak to not allow it, is how capable the 3080ti is at maintaining 48 fps with consistent frametime at 3440 X 1440 res - your cpu is NOT the bottleneck. I know with the 7950X3D there can be an issue if the cores are not configured properly to maximize use of 3D cache, but if optimally configured it will run circles around the 3080ti. With fps locked at 48 and LS NOT active what is the result of panning? Is it smooth, or do you experience the same stuttery behavior? Do you have vsync turned on, either in MSFS or NVCP. One thing you could experiment with is unlocking fps and turning on MSFS vsync 1/3. This is just a shot-in-the-dark because I have no idea if vsync works with LS. My suspicion is that 48 fps is approaching the limit for the 3080ti at 3440 X 1440, certainly dependent on MSFS quality settings. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB

Thanks for your reply Yes I have enabled 3d cache via bios And I have experimented also with vsync. I game 1/3 without L's has far more jittery. With L's active and auto fps its much smoother with slight jitters when panning. But LS on without autofps its still jittery. I would have thought with LS I would not need auto fps. Mike
July 18, 20241 yr So prior to LS using G-Sync was difficult for me due to losing focus/black screens especially in menus. I was forced to go back to fixed refresh. When I enable LS it seems to "fix" my GSync issues and the screen flashing goes away. Now happily using G-Sync Compatible in NVCP and Lossless together for a beautifully smooth experience. Just an fyi if anyone else has issues with G-Sync in the past and also has lossless. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
