In a lot of ways the Longitude, in the sim, is a victim of its truly pilot-focused design: simmers want to feel the complexity of the plane directly in the difficulty of the operation, whereas pilots

  • Magnificent. Should not really be possible with a default airplane. MSFS is so far ahead in that regard it's not even funny. 10 years ago this would be payware and cost 69.99 USD (if it was for

  • Yeah I'm kinda surprised people don't know how incredibly in depth the Longitude is.  It's definitely the best default aircraft of the entire sim, or any sim.

Might be a problem if you wanted a flight attendant simulator. 🙂

"Systems and Simulation Deep Dive". Someone always have to change the discussion to fit their narrative.

Sorry but you don't fly aircraft from the cabin.

Whoops, you've triggered the AVSIM mob for suggesting that maybe a great plane in the sim could be made even better.

Haha.  I also don't care about a cabin but I think an accessible one would be reasonable for simmers.

True - many of us have that built-in bias from the old days that the default aircraft were not very good. That has changed quite a bit with MSFS.

Agreed. The WT version of the Longitude is great, and I've logged many hours on it, but it feels liveless: no door animations, no cabin. A true luxury business plane - and long range at that - now this is still something that's sorely missing in the sim.(For me, the PMDG BBJ with it's FSX/P3D texture work doesn't count).

Is it me, or does MSFS have some of the best default aircraft that you can get in a flight sim?

The BBJ cabin is indeed attrocious

Looks like PMDG have got their act together with the 777

I tried the Longitude yesterday after finding out this video. Normally i fly exclusively HondaJet for bizjets but Longitude is very appealing to me.

What i realized and wanted to ask people that fly the jet is that i found the controls itchy and over sensitive, even with very smooth inputs. I've seen a mod in flightsim.to that deals partially with that , but it is not maintained anymore.

So, am i wrong here or the bird's controls are in need of a fix or something?
