That's exactly why they did it, they said as much when it was announced. This also isn't the first time they've done a scenery update timed for an event. Edited June 21, 20241 yr by Tuskin38

You can go into the Content Manager and simply uninstall the Asobo Strip, so you have more or less full compatibility between FT and Asobo Vegas. The fix makes the sphere work as it should, so you get the FT scenery with the illuminated sphere from Asobo. With the FT version the sphere is still under construction I believe. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

June 21, 20241 yr MSFS worked smoothly for me before the update with Flytampa scenery but since the update it's become a bit of a stutterfest using up all of my VRAM. I'm going to need to work out whether to uninstall Flytampa's or uninstall ASOBO's strip in the content manager. Not sure which yet. No different than when I install an add on airport I also have to see if there is also a detailed associated Asobo version and remove it... Otherwise I end up with duplicates... Also, considering when this was released it would have been tough for FT to have done anything about it as their KLAS was released long before CU8 and from an Asobo perspective they don't want CU8 to somehow disable the FT version if someone already purchased it. That would be a very big software no no. The one thing I am not sure of off the top of my head is if you can disable the strip in the FT version so you could use CU 8 with the Asobo strip and just FT KLAS but from what I have read the FT strip is superior anyway. June 22, 20241 yr I'm late to this thread (been out of town away from computer yesterday and most of today), but I have to chuckle at the YouTube "Official Trailer" video in the first post. Having lived here in Las Vegas since 2003, I'm gonna risk the ire of some folks by pointed out a couple "Huh?" things about it. For instance: 1. There is no such thing as the "Hoover Bridge". Many people also refer to it as the "Hoover Dam Bridge", which is also incorrect. What it did was replace the need to drive over the top of Hoover Dam, which was a pain in the *ss and total bottleneck, as passing over the 2-lane dam was the only route from Las Vegas to Kingman, AZ before the new bridge spanning the canyon was finished. The official name of it is the "Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge" Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge - Wikipedia . If you call it the "Hoover Bridge" to a local here, they're just gonna laugh their *ss off at you. There's a Hoover Dam, but no Hoover Bridge. 2. "Las Vegas Lake". No, no, no! There is no such thing. The video shows "Lake Las Vegas" (also called "Lake Las Vegas Resort"), which is the name of the COMMUNITY that the "water" there is a part of. But the "water" is actually a RESERVOIR. Lake Las Vegas - Wikipedia . The overall community is considered a RESORT area, but there are individual homes, condos, etc that are privately owned. But if you have to ask how much it costs to buy one, you can't afford it to begin with. 😉 Anyhow...no such thing as a "Las Vegas Lake". Yeah, I'm nit-picking. But the above info is for anybody who may not know the things "listed" in the video are incorrect names of them. But if you want to use those names, that's OK. I'll still "They're tourists, aren't they?!" laugh at you (but in a nice way). (Yes, I'm laughing at you, Asobo, for not doing your own homework about what is in an "Official Trailer"...GASP!) 😁 Other than the above, the scenery looks OK. But I'm also deleting the Asobo Strip part of the download and keeping my Fly Tampa Las Vegas strip buildings active. They just look a whole lot better (and accurate to the real buildings) to me. I only had one option to install City Update VIII Las Vegas and that is all I see in Content Manager. Why don't I see separate entries for the City and the Strip? When I search Vegas or Strip in the Content manager, I don't see two separate options.
