Do not be pessimistic. Spain are not unbeatable.

Spain 2-1

I'm feeling that's the most likely scenario.

Keep Rodri quiet and that weakens the Spain attack. He had the same impact at Man City. When he was missing they became a very beatable side.

Same applied to Haaland. Cut off the supply and he hardly got involved.

Onto tomorrow and I think England will match Spain for large parts of the game. It’s what happens in those few moments of brilliance. I can’t help thinking with the extra time equaliser against Slovakia and the last minute winner against The Netherlands our name is on the cup.

Spain peaked too early. 😁 England to win in extra time.

Got my flight planned for tomorrow morning. EGCC-EDDB in my trusty 737NGXu.

Considerably cheaper than what all the major airlines are charging. Flamin’ outrageous, all of them. 🤨🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

What worries me is the ability of Morata and to a lesser extent Cucurella to change the course of the game.

Both are past masters at feigning injury and I can see one or other of them winning a bogus penalty or getting someone sent off.

And before anyone starts, the penalty offence in the England v Holland game was a straight leg, studs up challenge with no contact made with the ball.  That's a potential leg-breaker and yellow card if not a red anywhere else on the field, so it was correctly given as a penalty.

Hm, almost everything is a potential leg-breaker in football. And as the Dutch argued, and i think rightly so, if this was an offense than a defender is not even allowed to raise his leg to defend anymore.

Even some English ex-football players have said this was not worth a penalty.

It's costly and complicated to produce and organize a final. Almost like a Kardashian wedding.

I was surprised at the penalty decision, but then I was also surprised when Germany were awarded a penalty for hand ball against Denmark.

Currently... its suggested that England have a 42% chance of a win and Spain a 58% chance of a win.

Its going to be a nerve-racking evening. Luckily, I have taken my Fluoxetine.

I had to look that up, thought it would be an anti-anxiety medication. Fluoxetine is an antidepressant. The game hasn’t even started and you’re preparing for a loss? C’mon, Martin, think positive.

This is what I prescribe for you:

Enjoy the game!

Ray,

Flew from Manchester to Brandenburg this morning, and treated myself to a big A380 (British Airways) for the 500 or so mile flight.  I love the flexing wings and big Rolls Royce engines.  However, about 140-130 miles from Berlin, at 30,000 feet, the plane hit some heavy winds, lightning and really stormy weather.  My wings were rocking and rolling quite beautifully.  Landed in Berlin with very nice weather and seemingly sunny skies.

Good Luck to your team!

@spilok clear skies for me once I crossed the Dutch coastline. Berlin is closer than I thought. Around 1h 40m for a 07R landing.

Thanks! 👍 Fingers crossed for tonight.

😀 I actually take the max dose, for OCD. It's a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, so boosts the feel good neurotransmitter, serotonin, in the brain and boosts mood. Anxiety is a consequence of OCD, so yes, it does lessen anxiety.

You might know it as Prozac.

It was humour, of course, but in theory it would mean I would be less anxious and care a lot less about the result. Not that I care hugely of course.... just a bit. 🙂
