Not everyone installs every world update, so it can be someting you only do once or twice a year. I'm at a certain age where I sometimes forget how to do unimportant things I only do every 6-12 months

  • I keep crossing my thumbs for people finally remembering this for good. After all it's only been the 17th one... 😁

  • My house looks like my house now and not a random town house as it was previously, right down to the recycling bin in the front yard and trampoline in the back garden which we got rid of 3 years ago b

Yes, I did.

Pretty sure that this will set EGLF back to non-airshow state, removing all the exhibition stuff?

Is it just me but every update the scenery seems to be more washed out each time.?

Pathetic!!!!

Using latest bing maps with 2k monitor.

Ncp with 16x antistropic filtering set.

Settings ultra to high and tweaked user cfg

Reshade

400mbps internet.

Do I need a new monitor!?

Thanks

No, the airshow configuration is based on the sim date.

I saw EGLF coming up a bit in the files that were downloading.  Perhaps there is some correction or update to Farnborough related or perhaps not related to the airshow config.  I will have a look and see if I notice any difference.

Getting some atrocious mesh issues northwest of Westport, Ireland. I did have a "your bandwidth is not enough" issue just prior to this, but was able to re-enable Bing Maps in the menu.

Also getting coastline morphing everywhere (UK and Ireland) - anyone else get this? It's very distracting when flying low. Does seem to happen regardless of AutoFPS on/off and TLOD high/low.

Cliffs of Moher looks spectacular though. Looks like the cliffs are 100% photogrammetry - no morphing.

I think your issue is the general azure server issue affecting everyone at the moment.  I agree with your assessment of the Cliffs of Moher.  They look excellent.

I think some more info would help.  What exactly do you mean by washed out?

I think asobo applied way to much green tint to the original textures, Mike.  To me, as a RW pilot, they look a lot closer to what I see in  real life.  A lot of the images are from summer sat data so it's going to be really interesting to see how they apply seasonal textures to MSFS2024.

For anyone used to the bright green, anything more realistic might seem a bit washed out though you may need to consider adjusting your monitor settings and/or look at the reshade filter you are applying.

I use HDR and it may be that the textures might not look so great without it

Here's my cliffs:

Cliffs look like this with the World Update installed, and uninstalled as well. Reinstall did nothing to solve it. Nothing in the community folder, all blank.

Internet speed is 350 up and down.  London looks great with photogrammetry but I have no clue how to fix this.

I'm so stupid, I was missing so many updates from the Marketplace lol.  God.

Exactly the sort of stuff I've been getting at EGLC. Parts of the elevated Docklands' Light Railway look like your cliffs.

I think I noticed a few flat areas around EGLC and suspected that ORBX London might be responsible.  Have not investigated further yet.

I am using a freeware EGLC, so it's possible that may be to blame as well.
