Also during on the Dev Q&As in the last couple years he said they can track users who are using cracked marketplace addons.

I would suggest you to give it a try. To my knowledge, this is only scenery-related, so you should at least try to move your sceneries out to a temporary folder and see how your sim starts.

On a side note, you should also check that your MSFS folder and MSFS main process (.exe) are declared as "exclusions" in your antivirus software (I use the default MS Defender).

Ok I found some culprit for sure and TBH this does not surprise me.

FWIW excluding MSFS folders and executables from Defender's watch did nothing for my 5:55sec start time for MSFS.  I then emptied Community Folder completely, 52Gb worth, and start time went to 2:35sec.  I then added the two GSX shortcuts back so they were the only entries in Community Folder:  start time 5:35sec.  As a final test I took only the two GSX shortcuts out of the Community Folder:  3:03.

So it appears GSX is adding right at 3 minutes to startup time in my config.

I know this is heresy but I hope MSFS 2024 obviates the need for GSX.  FSDT has done a great job with what it has to work with but it's still buggy after all these years now.  At least 70% of the time it doesn't initialize properly and I have to open TM to kill Coatl, let it respawn itself, then I can click GSX in the tool bar and all will be well.  Then there's the fact it apparently can't understand its surroundings such that its marshal walks thru walls and equipment, the plane is sometimes pushed back into walls, and the frame hit, though it doesn't matter as we're standing still, with the pax animations is substantial.  Truly the developer has done the best anyone could with this....except of course Asobo.

I also use Addons Linker depending on my flight, otherwise I would have 500GB in my community folder

Addons linker is a must.  Asobo should embrace and embed it in the simulation. I only need to activate a very small fraction of this each time I fly,  Making the changes in what I load takes only a minute or two in the app.  It is core part of my preflight routine.  This is what would need to load should I put it all in Community at one time. Almost one million files.  And I have very little scenery outside of the continental USA, Canada, and the Caribbean/Central America (mostly the gulf coast of Mexico).

Addon linker addon scenery packs. About 2/3 is flightsim.to (I'm cheap).

Wow, this is incredible information.  I will now go try this myself.  I gave up on GSX anyway for separate reasons, but didn’t uninstall it.

Do you fly to / use default airports? If not, you can safe at least some load time by disabling all GSX jetways in the GSX config (installer).

I have 114 GB in Community and the loading takes about 3 minutes but these 114 GB must be considered that currently the KLAX-EGLL-EHAM and ESSA pay scenarios are missing, which are installed, replacing the "original" files, in the ...\Official\OneStore\asobo-airport-xxx folder.

For example, I deleted the content of asobo-airport-klax-losangeles then I copied all the files of the IniBuilds KLAX pay scenario from Community to asobo-airport-klax-losangeles and then deleted the IniBuilds KLAX scenario in Community.

In addition to saving GB for the original files deleted in Asobo-airport-xxx I noticed a speeding up of the loading of these airport scenarios and a few more fps in their airport area.

Finally, two warnings:

the first concerns any upgrades of the pay scenarios copied in asobo-airport-xxx that must be put back in Community to do the upgrade and then copy them back to asobo-airport-xxx.

The second which, at least until now, only concerns the Orbx ESSA scenario  because Content Manager warns you to install Nordics files but in fact it is only the installation of the default ESSA scenario and therefore this installation must be ignored.

Thanks, I do use many default airports.  It's okay I have things to do during load time I was mostly just intrigued why some folks' load times are much shorter so did some investigating.

Asobo could give an alternative, and if it's a no go, we can always use addon linker.

I guess to disable GSX the symbolic link in community can be moved somewhere else. And AI traffic can be handled using addons linker. I’m flying mostly GA nowadays, so neither is adding a lot in terms of immersion. I have no idea what the avg loading time is but I have a lot of addons, several hundred gigabytes.
