August 27, 20241 yr Will MSFS2024 run in Win10? If not, there's finally a good excuse to move to 11. I remember Windows 7 was not supported for MSFS2020. August 27, 20241 yr For now I am not planning to do anything. My PC is 3 years old now and is showing its age in some minor details but for the most part still current. From what has been said FS2024 should run even better on existing systems. My system runs FS2024 extremely good and stable. So "in theory" I should be golden with FS2024! If it ends up being a problem I am prepared to get a new system. I am seeing some nice priced systems out there with 4070 video cards and a few generations higher CPU for very good prices. Storage capacity has really improved on newer systems as well but in theory we won't need as much with FS2024. Again we will just have to see! If I can get away with it I plan to upgrade my system around this time next year. By then they will be a tiny bit faster and probably even more storage. My only concern really on my mind is I don't think I have a enough storage left for both FS2020 and FS2024. I might have to dump my FS2020 install which means I will be starting fresh with a new sim. It might take a while before FS2024 is really up to speed as far as content. Then again FS2024 might be such an improvement you won't feel like going back. So again in theory we can just start using FS2024 and never have the need to look back.

I’m playing flight simulation since Fs 3.0 (I think it was 1987). But I’m sure you’re absolutely right. Every newest version of the simulador requirements were higher than the previous one, so... August 27, 20241 yr The big question for me is how much disk space will it take up. I hope most of the World Updates are on the server and not on the disk anymore. Mark CYYZ
October 6, 20241 yr Hi, Will you be able to have FS2020 and FS2024 installed on the same computer? When I had FSX and X-Plane back in the day, I had two separate "boots" for each Sim (so I'd select which one to use when I powered my PC on). I used a Solid-State Drive for this. Should I run both Sims on the same computer, or should I create a second boot? Thanks, Kevin Davis Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 17763) (17763.rs5_release.180914-1434) Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz (8 CPUs), ~4.2GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080

Unfortunately I have three expensive hobbies, Flight sim, Photography and Road Cycling Flight simming is by far the least expensive hobby I've ever had, and the most enjoyable. But I admit I spend very little on add-ons -- no need, with all the great freeware out there, and I don't need the latest version of every airport on the planet.

Thanks! I thought I heard that 2024 would just refuse to install if 2020 was on the same computer. Now I just need to figure out how to go about transferring my Community Folder stuff from 2020 to 2024. Do you just copy/paste it from the two folders, or should you get an external hard drive to back the original stuff up?
