I've got no propaganda reasons for praising this ATC program because Ive examined this on specs, Youtubers etc. So today i just pulled the trigger and will use the year subscription. I am floored with this program. You have a full suite of things here including co-pilots who will take your comms over, vehicles to guide you to departure rwys, different comms which includes communicating with your flight attendant with respect to meals, movies all in plain english. You can speak in plain english with your co pilot for all sequences of ground operations and flight and the co-pilot  will do so seamlessly. Anytime you can take it over. There are numerous characters with great voices. Communicate, french, german, english etc. The ai is great. There is real communications in the background as well.

They're adding AI traffic. In the meantime I've simply been using my traffic fsltl without much of a problem. Numerous other features. But I'm sold on this atc. Good riddance to msfs atc.

So currently this seems to do absolutely everything except for directing you around and interacting with AI air traffic. What a lot of work for a program that essentially isn't ATC.  I can instruct cabin crew to serve lunch, yet it can't separate me from a 777?

In over 2 years of flying 10-14 flights a week, I have had traffic issues with AI, about 6 times, and I fly into major airports almost always.

Thanks, maybe I just had bad luck on my first few flights, I'll give it another try.

I'm tempted to re-install FSX and Radar Contact (with meatwater voice pack) just to see if I'm looking at the past through rose-tinted spectacles. Bust an altitude or heading and you got a phone number...

Your opinion can be yours and also contain false information which is what I was saying.  Also I haven't even entered this "contest" even though I have promoted SI a few times and also am trying to correct false information that people are posting....especially those who have obviously not even tried it like yourself.  I also don't have much time to worry about whether I win a contest or not so I really don't care.  What I do care about is truth and so since you were unknowingly spreading false information in your opinion I figured a reply from an actual user was warranted.  I get it that the subscription fee is hard to swallow for products.  I don't like them either and I was also really excited about BATC.  That was until I decided to try SI when they began offering IFR and I haven't looked back.  BATC is a great on rails ATC program it looks like (I never actually got to use it, just watched YouTube vids).  The future is not on rails and that is why SayIntentions.AI is ahead of the rest in my opinion and worthy of the subscription fee of a dinner a month....

Let me summarise this. I have stated my opinion about the marketing practices of SI in this thread and clearly labelled it as my opinion based on my observations. Furthermore, I have referred to a dev of SI praising the product on this very forum to people asking for opinions on ATC software without identifying himself as a dev of the product he was praising (fact, happy to provide the link to the thread here on avsim where this happened) and SI running a competition for customers to gain benefits for praising the product across the internet (fact, confirmed by multiple people in this very thread).

Nowhere do I talk about the functionality of SI or make any other claims. Various other people have chimed in and agreed with my personal point of view that SI is extremely aggressive and not very transparent in their marketing which can create a conflict of interest and lack of trust and that some users of SI (certainly not all) seem to have a weird borderline obsession with trying to convert everyone to SI.

I even said I’m happy you and others are enjoying SI but it’s not for me and to each their own.

And now you come out and double down on saying my opinion is false and I’m spreading misinformation? I’d love for you to share what misinformation I’m spreading - facts please, not more of “I don’t agree with your point of view so it’s false”. You also keep urging me to try SI when I have already said I don’t want to and I’m happy with what I’m using and happy you’re enjoying your SI. The whole “cost of a meal” argument is also extremely flawed, it’s not about the money for me but whenever I read people using this as an argument I cringe.

Don’t you see the irony in your response and that you’re beautifully illustrating my point that some SI users come across as trying to convert everyone to their choice of ATC and disregard any opposing views and opinions, going so far as to accuse me of spreading misinformation when I did no such thing?

Absolutely true, I know of numerous individuals that are clueless when speaking about stuff. I also find it a bit suspect when someone here brings up a conversation on a product they don't own.

I could easily say you're worried about the BATC going under due to SAYAI and you losing your investment, that would be my opinion!

Doesn't make your opinion or mine correct!

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for BATC, ( which is real ATC by the way) going  under because of a $200 a year chat with AI program.

I'm not holding my breath, I could care less, don't own BATC. With that said, one cannot control what others believe, so it could be nothing more than hysteria from BATC customers complaining about spam where it doesn't exist.

I'd also like to see all this spam.

lol I didn’t even bring up BATC, you did. Again, I wasn’t even talking about SI’s functionality but merely their marketing tactics and defensive users that seem to get triggered every time someone doesn’t submit to praising SI as the new messiah. Thanks for making my point.

Have tried that program and all others in this thread.... I disagree... ! What a pain of a program to use! Barely useable voice recognition and horrible phrasing...

defensive users

The way I see it there's nothing defensive about users of SI countering (sometimes false) claims of others who haven't even tried it. I also have a SI subscription and I'm very happy with it. For VFR (my kind of flying) it is excellent! As the others seem more geared towards IFR I have less interest in them, but I'll keep an eye on them for sure, to see what they come up with in the future.

There‘s another guy that literally made his 2nd post on Avsim giving a stunning review of SI.  Now that doesn‘t mean it‘s false, but one has to wonder if that has anything to do with SI promising free copies of MSFS 2024 and free subscriptions to SI to anyone posting a positive review of SI in any forum / social media. That in itself is a dubious practice that I‘ve usually come to known only from shady Chinese companies when ordering their stuff on Amazon.

Replaced „one“ with „guy“ to be more clear

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Thanks for articulating a measured reply, not jumping up and down like others.

The thing is though, I didn’t talk about SI as a product or its quality once. And I don’t need to try a product to express an opinion about how they market that product to the community. Their marketing practices are out there and for everyone to see, documented. And I’m being attacked for “spreading misinformation”, when multiple people in this very thread have confirmed my observations as fact. Just ludicrous…

Buddy.... Have you seen your post history... You post about SI more than I do...!

I have no need for a competition... I have an annual subscription... I've already pre-ordered the aviator edition myself...

And I post about other ATC addons... Trying these all out have been the highlight of my year in swimming!

When they were both newer I tested them both extensively.  In my unpopular opinion SI added a bunch features that are of zero interest to me, but BATC development has stalled.

I did an Ifly737 MAX 8 flight from KSLC to KSFO with BeyondATC and it was good for the most part.  It struggles with vectors still, it's gotten better, but if you follow direction you'll end up too high and too fast nearly every time.  When you cross over SFO on the BDEGA4 you cross at 11000 but once you cross you get immediate vectors towards final.  Last night I got turn left heading 100 decent and maintain 5,000, then a minute later "turn left heading 310 descend and maintain 3,100 report when established on the Localizer.  Uh.. yeah I'm at 9000 feet so I'll never be on the localizer if it turn to 310.  So I just extended out the best I could and turned in once i knew I was below the glideslope.  They are getting closer.

But SayIntentions has the opposite problem.  I feel like SI only works because it mostly just parrots back what you request without any challenge. SI has never told me no on anything. Vectors to final don't work any better than BATC.

Honestly development pace has been lackluster for both especially considering how much they cost, especially SayIntentions.
