These threads should be titled "ATC Wars" Where each try to convince theirs's is the best thing since sliced bread, but in reality neither works as it should..

Just had a flawless flight in FSHud from Barbados to EGLL, a dozen early morning arrivals from the USA coming in just after the curfew, all separated, with accents, directed to the correct gate.  There is one that works but very few are talking about it, because you can't ask it to give you a back rub and a flat white at FL330?

  • I've got no propaganda reasons for praising this ATC program because Ive examined this on specs, Youtubers etc. So today i just pulled the trigger and will use the year subscription. I am floored with

  • You have 17 posts on this forum and 15 of them are full of praise of SI. There‘s another guy that literally made his 2nd post on Avsim giving a stunning review of SI.  Now that doesn‘t mean it‘s false

I just looked @FSHud for the first time. I am very impressed with it as it solidly checks a lot of boxes. If I liked to sim more in favor of a procedural commercial flight using a FMS or FMC with such addons as GSX to fully round out the overall flight experience, then I could see FSHud having even more of my attention. They seem to handle AI addons, have very enjoyable voices and ease of use with a lot of great customizing features. I could easily see trading off voice for drop down menu for a more well rounded flight experience when dealing with an involved flight deck like the Boeing and Airbus planes.

For myself, I just enjoy flying small GA planes in VFR or IFR because the weather not because I have to based on my flight/altitude.

That is like all the phony positive reviews on junky Amazon products,  that the reviewer gets paid for.

Only real difference is, on Amazon they don't even own most if any of the items they review at least here they own the product.

Pay 50 bucks or quid to be an alpha tester for a program in the embryonic phase of traffic injection-thanks but no thanks

I just noticed this. What's up with the trend now with paying to be an alpha tester? And for only $100 extra, you can get a t-shirt?

I've flown Flight Simulator since it came on a disk for the Apple IIe, and the different ways 3rd party devs come up with to separate flight simmers from their wallets never ceases to amaze me.

Great to hear your positive experience.

Does FSHUD do regional accents now?

I bought into the partner program just to support this awsome project, not really to test the alpha. I bought a subscription from day one, and never regretted it. The reason I choose SI over all the other ATC programs is VFR, wich all thoose other programs doesnt support. After getting used to this non scripted nature of SI, there is no way I can go back to scripted ATC.

I will look into BATC whenever they implement VFR, just to see if it has more to offer, wich I doubt..

Well this is a Sayintentions thread, but to answer your specific question FSHud is introducing a few national accents with each alpha release. I'm not sure regional accents (for example New York vs San Francisco) is on their roadmap.

Ian Box

@jkeyeuk - Yes, regional accents are now being added as of the v2.0 alpha. There aren't that many yet (most default to American) but they do have French, Spanish, German, and English (with Scottish in Scotland) that I've heard so far. Also, they'll attach correctly to e.g. an Air France flight over the US.

I'm pretty happy with the accents, although the English ones are a little bit weird - I think the developer has a thing for Northerners, the Welsh and Geordies, with very little southern UK accents represented. But I'm sure it will all mature over time.

(Edit: Not that I was insinuating that those accents are immature! 😆 Rather that everything will balance out, with southerners being correctly represented at Heathrow once they can focus more on voices rather than other core features)
