October 22, 20241 yr Most important quote: "to be crystal clear: the upcoming A380X “developer preview” release - will be in an open alpha stage. " Available to everyone. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

They've written it will be perfectly flyable on Vatsim (which is not something the payware (!) FSS E-Jets or the Aerosoft A330 can say...). October 22, 20241 yr You can tell the humility and character of the FBW devs by their calling this initial release an alpha. It will no doubt be orders of magnitude better than some payware developers' 1.0 releases. Ryan

And all for free.

October 22, 20241 yr Well....whatever the case might be, I have to say that I am really impressed with what I've seen so far from these guys. Don't know much about 380, but honestly I thought that we won't see nothing like this. I watched the video and depth of simulation was impressive really. How accurate things are with this would be interesting to see in following days.... But hey, they deserve the credit... Alex

It essentially means we’ll be merging content relating to the a380 that was previously stored in private repositories to the public ones. Therefore anyone and everyone can contribute should they see fit. Of course any code changes will still go through various stages of QA and require references for said change to be merged into the main code branch.
