  • I'll get premium deluxe just to support the team.  Had such a great time with MSFS2020.

  • Just look at what the various versions offer and see if they offer something you'd like to have for the extra money. I personally don't care for superdeluxe airports (didn't buy a single payware airpo

I believe they are exactly the same as in 2020, there are no new 2024 airports. They did do a makeover of the 2020 ones so they should be more accurate and look nicer but nothing new, they can only do so many or there will be no room for 3rd party developers.

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

I got premium deluxe. I already have the local legends/etc planes I want, and it doesn't look like they'll be updating them for 2024 so I don't need to buy them again. As far as I can tell, that's the only difference between the aviator edition and the PD edition.

I do think many people who buy the standard version may regret it as they did with 2020. Some addons require bits from the PD edition to work, and if you don't have it, you don't get to enjoy those addons either. And if I recall, upgrading from standard to PD cost more overall than just buying PD outright.

Are you sure about that? I was under the impression that the only difference between editions was the number of planes and hand crafted airports.

I also wonder if he is right about that... You may miss out on some updates and extra stuff that applies to the deluxe aircraft only but I doubt of there is more to it.

I'll get Premium Deluxe because I want Cessna C-172 steam gauge version and the Longitude, otherwise I would buy the standard edition.

You’ll be able to buy the higher edition aircraft individually, so it might be cheaper to buy the standard

Also if you own them in 2020 they will carry over

No, but a vast majority of them are apparently existing airports from 2020 and world updates with upgrades. There’s at least two new ones we know of, Bilbao and Grand Canyon National

I  have never flown a default aircraft in any sim, except a couple of times, and usually just once. So I will just get the advanced version for the added scenery.

You should try these ones at least once they are higher quality, and most made by third party devs.

Oh, yes, I remember hearing about Grand Canyon, I had forgot. And agree that some of their free airports are actually quite well done, and arguably better than some of the pay ware ones on the store.

Bilbao was in the first trailer, it's in the scenes with the Ambulance.

Also the first time we saw the A330, though that may have also been an AI model.

If you don't want to fly the first 2 days, a good plan might be to wait and read all the complaints here on launch day and the next day. Then read the reports coming back from the early explorers.

I'll buy the version that allows my favorite add-ons by A2A, iFly, PMDG, Blackbird, and Black Square to run at least as well as they do in 2020.  I figure that version should be out in 6 -8 months.

Most of the planes of the premium editions that are interesting to me are made by Carenado. They make very nice planes, but their systems depth is, to date, just bellow what I would prefer. My current plan is to wait at least a couple of weeks after the release and see what they offer prior to make any decision.
Anyway, it will take some time for the thrid party addons that I currently use to take full advantage of the new features of MSFS 2024. There is absolutely no rush on my part.

In this sim though, the PC24 and 12 will have the incredible WT Honeywell avioncs.  That'll be a huge boost to systems depth.  Obviously we don't know how in depth the rest will be.  I'd imagine the premium deluxe PC24 will be a bit nicer than the PC12.

Yes, both have a great potential especially considering the new career mode in MSFS 2024 and the Honeywell avionics will be a breath of fresh air.
