November 12, 20241 yr One of my biggest disappointments with the Citation was that while it had a great cockpit and - after several mods - flew well, it lacked a cabin, thus you never had the feeling you were actually flying a luxury biz jet. Let's see whether the PC 12 and the PC 24 in MSFS 2024 have cabins.
November 12, 20241 yr There are some superb cabins out there - Fenix, iFly and the RJ really pushed the bar. Which makes it even weirder how Aerosoft thought the Minecraft A330 cabin was up to scratch for a release candidate…

November 12, 20241 yr I really don’t care much for cabins. It’s nice eye candy. But, it’s not worth the performance hit for what they add to the actual flying experience. I like when there’s an option to turn them off. I might look at the cabin once when I first get an aircraft and likely never again, if that…
November 12, 20241 yr Since Carenado did the pc24 and they always do cabins, I would presume it would have a cabin. But who knows! I guess we'll all know in a week! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 12, 20241 yr I imagine all the default aircraft will have interiors now, because of the new visible passenger system, and career mode The PC-12 medivac version has a cabin at least, you can see it in the trailers The PC-24 you can kinda see into the cabin on the aircraft poster Edited November 12, 20241 yr by Tuskin38
November 12, 20241 yr What about the Honda jet? I recall it having a decent cabin 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

Same here, and worse still what a waste of coding time and performance hit to have GSX' PAX filling up the cabin, which I've turned off as the perf hit is 20% and while I know the plane isn't moving it still impacts panning. November 12, 20241 yr I've mostly been flying the PMDG BBJ1 recently and since exploring the cabin a bit, I kind of wish one could configure it. Personally I'd just prefer business style mini cabins like the JetBlue Mint suites. I'd operate a sort of low-frills business jet, no showers, no boardroom conference tables. Meetings would just be held standing up in your little cubicle with some tyrant CEO pacing the aisle and shouting at everyone.
November 12, 20241 yr From what we have seen so far, the new planes will have a cabin. The question is whether the improved 2020 planes like the Longitude and the CJ4 will have one. I really hope so and think it's likely given the new mission system. In the trailer, we saw a VIP sitting in the cabin of the Vision jet. It's hard to imagine that Asobo's own aircraft won't benefit from these new capabilities.

For example, close the door on the 777 and the passengers all disappear and the cabin isn’t rendered till you open the door again. This isn’t 1999 and it’s not FSX.

It looks like cabins and airport terminal interiors are always suspected to be responsible for performance degradation, even though several developers denied this categorically in this very forum. As ATRguy mentioned, if it’s not rendered, it has zero impact on performance. In other words, if you don’t look in the cabin - or in the terminal - your performance will be optimal. As a conclusion MSFS being a game, and since we are essentially all players, some will like those, and some won’t, in this later case simply forget they exist.
