Maybe a bit off topic, do you think I should wait since FS2024 comes with a Max8 and i don't have to shell out 70USD for the same plane which eventually will be compatible with both platforms?

**We are now releasing version 1.0.0.** This announcement replaces the previous one from a few days ago. The changelog is also replaced.

First, we would like to thank everyone who has contributed to helping us advance the product. We apologize for some delays in getting the next build out to you, however, we believe the delay comes with some benefits. In developing a complex aircraft such as the MAX8, along with the platform of MSFS, it is beneficial to tackle other elements when fixing one. The list has now grown to over 130 features or fixes added. Note that after MSFS 2024 is released, we will begin researching compatibility. We will not have a timeline on MSFS compatibility until some time after MSFS 2024 is released.

**Important: Before installing, make sure you follow these instructions, as a complete product replacement is required:**

1. Make sure MSFS and the iFly Plugin is not running.
2. Press "Manage Product" in the main screen, then select the "Open Data Folder". Manually DELETE all the content, including the “work” folder.
3. Press “Uninstall”
4. Make sure the MAX8 is deleted from your “Community” folder.

The iFly Manager has been updated. We recommend you update that first by going to https://manager.flight1.net

We will be adding the product to the main Flight1 site shortly.

Don't wait. You have it now with MSFS2020. I think for complex addons it'll take time for MSFS2024 to catch on.

Took off from LPMA and towards EKCH with latest update.

Really nice experience. Sounds has also improved allthough PACKS seem a little to loud to me ? Maybe a sound scale option for the future ?

I am overspeeding now at FL340 towards PINEK . 0.79MACH in the FMC but the A/C is doing 0.82 with the warning sounds .Could be ASFS interfering i dont know but using levl-change and then VNAV again sorted it out. (SPD INTV did not)

Great that you now can disable inputs from Yoke and Throttle so not disturbing the A/P.

Still room for improvements and features (like GSX automatics for instance  - Doors/fuel load in real time etc) but this is really top notch.

Strangely enough i seem to get use of the EFB . I did not see that comming.

Looking forward to test the manual and automatic flight further .

Great plane that i allready highly recommend. 🙂

 

PS! i also re-downloaded the liveries after deleting everything in the download folder .   This was not erased by the un-install  function but i did remove them from the community folder myself.

I have been thinking about this aircraft since the beta came out. It just bothers me that I would have to spend $70 to get another 737 when I already own two from PMDG. I understand that the cabin is nice, but from owning the Fenix, I probably visit the cabin once on a flight if that much, so that isn't really worth $70. It's still basically a 737, in fact that is the way Boeing designed it, so pilots wouldn't need any additional training. I think I will pass on this one.

Reinstalling liveries isn’t necessary—only the configuration files need to be removed before uninstalling and added back after installing v1.0.

I bought this plane day one of release prompted mainly by all the excitement.  After three or four flights I wasn’t so excited so I parked it never to fly again, but I did follow their discord and I learned there that many were just like me, not so excited.  So I patiently awaited the patch.

I installed the update yesterday and took two inaugural flights, one about 60 min, the other about 180. In both flights, the performance, accuracy and immersion of the experience was exemplary.

Now I’m Excited!

Not there yet here. Find it weird but that is obviously me being used to PMDG or let alone the PMDG EFBs which I find more intuitive and especially helpful. Even though the iFly EFB is how the real thing looks and behaves. Simbrief import I still not figured out through the EFB (if this is possible at all?), just via FMC. Did a quick turn in v1 earlier today, left the EFB off…

The sound package makes the PMDG one sound like an amateur with zero experience made it. Boris did a phenomenal job on the iFly sounds and the immersion is crazy good. Turning on the runway and hearing the grooved pavement through the tires is insane.
