November 28, 20241 yr I have no comparison but I suggest Win11. Using it since years. All fine. See no reason why not to Upgrade. I also update my car‘s software OTA once available and don‘t stick with the old software. Although we use Stardock Start11 to make the interface look like Windows 7 instead of 11. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Seems I have a different view than most on the W11 GUI as well as the MSFS2024 GUI...! Haha! I absolutely prefer the W11 GUI and the MSFS2024 GUI! Both are way better imho! It's good there are options and to each his own!
November 28, 20241 yr Windows 10 support is being dropped next year. Your computer can be vulnerable to security loophloes once support is dropped for it. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
November 28, 20241 yr No reason to go with W10 unless you're just a contrarian. If you want a different start menu, plenty of options for that as well, I personally use Start11. November 28, 20241 yr Win 11 ! 10 is end of life / support October 2025, it's ugly & fat and farts bugs with drivers, windows updates and TCP IP stack 🙂 Never look back! FS 2020 gone for me, Win 11 and FS 2024 is the Future and the Present, until Win 12 knocks at my door... November 28, 20241 yr I'm dual booting my PC with Linux LMDE 6 (Linux Mint Debian Edition) and Windows 11 24H2. The Win11 install is heavily tweaked, 49 processes at bootup and everything running amazingly well. I use Windows mostly for gaming, and yes, simming of course. I'm learning Linux and so far I'm pleased with how well it works as a desktop OS nowadays. I like how configurable everything is and it feels good knowing I'm not streaming a bunch of personal data to MS, Google and alikes.

Or alternatively… because so many people with really good and powerful, perfectly serviceable PC’s can’t upgrade because of the Windows 11 TPM security demands. i have a very decent custom built desktop PC that will eat most modern Win11 off-the-shelf PC’s for breakfast but it cannot run W11. I must toss it and replace it to get Win 11? IT is one of the most wasteful industries on the planet! I have at least 8 desktops at my office that can’t upgrade to Win 11 for the same reason. I am loathe to buy entire new PC’s for admin staff just so we can have Win 11. That is the REAL reason so many people have not upgraded yet.
