That's a TrackIR thing is it? I must have a test of that.

Yup. With me, when I end a flight with Track IR and you get to the globe screen, it just starts spinning like you're doing flips!

I know these aren't big bugs fixes, but most of the really big ones have been addressed in this thread.

I just did a test. Loaded the game, and got into the cockpit. Then went back to 'Leave the sim' but first I closed TIR down. But still got the manic globe!

Do we know if non TrackIR users get manic globes or not?

I can tell you Tobii users have it too.

A proper "Pause" function that pauses everything. Unbelievable as to why this so hard to implement.

Does pressing Esc not already do this?

Hi Matt, thanks for responding. I've made a handful of very short videos so you can check out what we're experiencing.

Sure thing! Unfortunately, these are all issues with the aircraft themselves; for the G1000, the NAV radio tuning and blank MFD issue is a miswiring of the cockpit XML, for the GNS, none of the posted videos are the WT GNS, they're the original Asobo AS430/530.

I would report those issues on the forums as they may be backwards compatibility issues that need attention from the core or aircraft teams.

Hi Matt, thanks very much for taking a look at these. I'll make a couple of bug reports on the official forum.

For my fellow Avsimmers; I must say I do find this stuff a bit disturbing.  The Saab is a completely new plane for MSFS 2024 and has obvious faults that prevent it having meaningful use in the sim.

The Carenado planes are from the  2020 market place and have been released to 2024 after having undergone the conversion process but once again have fundamental faults in their operation. It really brings into question the quality control and oversight of these processes and whilst Jorge and Co are anxious to assure us that they have the situation in hand and bugs will be fixed, are they really aware of the depth of problems 2024 has at the moment?

My list comprises not bugs but fixing inherent design flaws which in my opinion stop this sim being useable:

1) There is a mismatch in lighting between scenery, cockpits and sky/clouds. The clouds (unless set to thick and dense) are way over-bright and mostly washed out so you can see just slabs of brilliant white if you adjust lighting to see the cockpit clearly. (note this is not so bad for those with HDR monitors)

Some (actually most) aircraft have very poor mfd and pfd displays, lacking in sharpness and contrast, or if you try to boost both you immediately get totally washed out sun and fair weather clouds. There is one fighter jet (can't remember which) that has such a poorly rendered cockpit display that you actually can see almost nothing, so badly is it washed out.

2. The Controls edit system is for me really badly designed. Three separate versions of each controller just makes an already complicated control setup even more complicated. You only need ONE control strip which then can easily be copied, renamed and adjusted for each category/type of aircraft. Having three just creates enormous confusion. "Transversal" is ridiculous. You need a way to simply carry over one universal setting to another universal setting and that can be done far more simply by having one control heading. I think this is the worst single design flaw in the whole sim.

3. There must be an option to download your favourite/preferred aircraft and if they are default the config files must be un-encrypted so we can edit them for flight model, repaints, lighting and a host of other useful things. Storage is cheap nowadays. There is no need to compel everyone to rely on the cloud.

If I may: 4) The user interface looks to be a change for change's sake. I welcome change but only if it is designed well or better. For example even the choose aircraft window looks like it was made by a student graphic designer from the 1990s. That horizontal scrolling menu is a total disaster, the icons are way too small and the info is inadequate. So too is the over convoluted "configure" menu. As I said, I don't mind change if it is good, but the Fs2020 aircraft load menu is 10x better.

2) The sim-time variable being all screwed up, showing computer live time on 3rd party aircraft instead of the in-sim time

Not only aircraft, it also throws BeyondATC off track. When I fly in NZ, in my late evening timezone of course, ATC will wish me a good evening. Even though it is 11:00 in the morning local time.

Error tryning to load live traffic data is my top bug of the day! They said theyve fixed it but they havent. Or do something to allow the  FSLTL injector to work properly.

I think I had just finished a flight and tried to start another.

This seems to work better when you leave for the Main Menu and start from there, using any stored flightplan from the webplanner. Then I could get a full flightplan whereas I was getting chopped onions when doing a touch and go
