Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Compatibility List

Featured Replies

I (think) I remember seeing a link for this here, but wanted a topic I could easily find again and check back on.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Why am I not seeing Aerosoft's Berlin Brandenburg airport on the list? Or am I missing something?

The list doesn't seem to be compatible with Sarafi! I can't scroll it.😀

FSElite's list is...well....FSElite's definition "compatible" is that you can load it in and it mostly/partly works I guess.

You’ll note there’s a lot of user submissions too, so if you don’t see your favourite scenery on there, but test it out and it works, let them know.

FWIW I haven’t found a scenery yet that has game breaking bugs, usually some trees in weird places or maybe some odd textures, but in many cases no issues at all in FS24.

It looks very useful and not in the least subjective, showing exactly who has declared the product
as compatible.
Someone has put a lot of work into that and it is not to be scoffed at.

I certainly wasn't "scoffing" at someone's work!  Whatever possessed you to think so...I cannot fathom it.

This: "FSElite's definition "compatible" is that you can load it in and it mostly/partly works I guess."

If it's compatible, it works, if it doesn't work, it's not compatible.
There is no room for interpretation and FsElite have not tried to interpret it.
More than that, they have gone to the trouble of naming the source of the compatibility report.
Some of those might be subjective, as we can all miss details and some of us are more tolerant
of anomalies than others.
It's still a very useful resource and admirable that that it has been offered freely to us all.

Except that it's meaningless as it all depends on whatever level of tolerance to compatibility errors whoever put the report in has.

The Turbine Duke for instance has funky skins and the altimeter does not read correctly,  none of the Carenado planes listed as 'compatible' have working Garmin units and so they're essentially useless in 2024....

This is, at best, a very misleading list no matter how much work has gone into it.

Neither the Turbine Duke nor any of the Carenado aircraft are listed as compatible, just "unknown".
In other words, not declared as compatible.

The notes at the foot of the list start with:

Quote

MSFS 2024 Compatibility
Some products may have more than one of this category

Unknown – Status is unknown
