December 22, 20241 yr Two questions..... Can I use BATC just to control the AI planes? If so, would the other AI planes "see" me? In other words, if I line up in a queue for departure (for example), would the AI planes wait for me to move (rather than plough straight through me)? Haven't tested that yet personally For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Haven't tested that yet personally I was taxiing the other day, and an AI was taxiing in the opposite direction on the same taxiway, just as we were getting very close, the AI turned onto the ramp and let me go by. Very cool. I am flying right now from KMSP to KCVG, and BATC controller is lecturing an AI aircraft about being at the wrong altitude, and instructing it to climb to the assigned altitude. I had assumed that it would run in a similar manner to the AIG Traffic Controller. Is that not the case? No it's an ATC tool with traffic injection included. But to "start the flight" you need to have a simbrief flightplan. You can't inject without a flightplan. But any dummy flightplan from the airports you fly at is okay, just put in the dest and arr airport and you're done. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. Almost all AI is built off an LLM and the key is how much data you have to parse for it to learn. @G-YMML1 LLM is Large Language Model. It's a type of machine learning and there are probably more than 50 publicly available LLM's but the LLM is the foundation for the Natural Language Processing that trains AI chatbots and generative language AI as well as specific AI workflows and training. December 22, 20241 yr Just noticed yesterday that Traffic was released for all! I’d been waiting for that before buying BATC but finally bit the bullet now. Just had a lovely flight from Athens to Corfu. BATC really brings my flying to a whole new level!! Very happy with it so far. A really seamless experience and I don’t need to setup it do anything… connects to simbrief and the sim just like that and is ready to go. That’s how these sorts of addons should be, in my opinion! December 22, 20241 yr I do not need it to be exactly the same as real world live traffic. What I need is an ATC system that allows me to interact with it on my own terms (preset weather, and no requirement to provide it with a flightplan), and improve the animations of the AI planes so that they do not look like lame ducks when landing and departing. December 22, 20241 yr I felt like I was in ATC / traffic heaven today at EDDF. I had taxied past 18 to de-ice, and when I went back to the runway there was two departing aircraft ready to go from the other side of 18. One got clearance to take off, then the other got clearance to line up and wait. I asked for clearance, was told I was #2 for takeoff and to hold short. Then I got my line up and wait, and ultimately my take off clearance. It all sounds basic perhaps, but it just all worked so well, the AI animations were bang on and with the latest FS24 patch I was having the best performance I ever have at EDDF. Perhaps the icing on the cake would have been ATC warning me of wake turbulence as it was a 787 that departed ahead of me but it’s really working well right now. December 22, 20241 yr BATC and HPG 145 sound problem I have a strange problem using both addons in Ms 2024 at the same time. The same moment the traffic (FSLTL and AIG models) is injected by BATC, the engine sound of the helicopter disappears. All other sounds are present. It doesn't happen with other aircraft so far, e.g. Fenix Airbus works fine. Anybody with a similar problem and maybe an idea how to solve it? Thanks! Edited December 22, 20241 yr by LarsA
December 22, 20241 yr Has anyone had issues involving a flight plan that includes PACSIM RKSI?
