Low Performance After the Last Patch(#3) 2024

Featured Replies

I do have this issue. At FSDreamteam LSZH, settled in with 13GB VRAM, after ca 4 minutes.....suddenly FPS drop to 12 FPS with 21GB VRAM (out of 24). MSFS2024 is still unusable atm for me. First CTD out of the blue and now a released patch incl. this gamechanging BUG 😉

@ASOBO: This process is not acceptable indeed. It can not be a normal procedure to release such a HIGH PRICETAGED SIM/Game, EUR 240,-!! and then having so many issues out of the box and even weeks after release.

Happy flights for those who are not suffering...

I am back at MSFS2020. 😉

Regards,

Marcus P.

Just had the exact same issue.  The sim was almost rubber banding.  I didn't even try to takeoff.  Checking to see if any settings might have got bumped up post patch.  I know the default camera views

  • Good choice, if you want to use a working simulator the MSFS2020 in all aspects, is currently the best choice - IMO !!! cheers 😊

  • I am getting stutters where I didn't before.

This game is now patched into an unplayable stuttery mess. When is the next patch release planned?

I'm in same situation. Cannot use it at all. Hope for an hotfix/patch at least to solve this and make it usable!

Same here, without any settings changes (or even switching to lowest settings) they've turned this sim into a useless, stuttering mess for me.

I'm sore about the $200+ I foolishly spent on this based on my beta experience, but getting really crabby about the amount of time I waste on this too.

Off to fly my XP12 installation which always works.

Altough i have quite a decent pc to run it on medium/high, setting everything to low didnt make any difference.

I understand it may not be perfect at launch, but not with such bugs for sure.

Wasted too much time also, gonna let it settle down and will wait for better times.

Never appreciated 2020 so much as now! Prepare flightplan, launch sim, and have fun. No crashes or groundbreaking bugs.

Yep I'm getting major stutters in free flight but I keep getting the error about live traffic.

If I could make a recording the plane like jumps ahead slightly every 1/2 second or so.

So, as we know, or have heard, it's certain default airports that has this issue that brings bad pulsing FPS. They knew and fixed the issue before the patch, but did not release it with the patch💀. Now that's some USAF level um stuff. But, any who. If you want to continue like I do, you will have to take the journey to test and find third party airports that will work. So far, I know the feel there KLGA and the Drzeweicki KDCA/Landmarks work. That's the flight I'm running now since it's a common for me real world. INIBUILDS and others will list compatibles if they have been tested by them. You can test your own by installing and loading into the airport. So, they still have some optimizations to work out, but they really need to put that default airport fix out quick. Fly safe!

It's not just default airports. I had really bad pulsing FPS every second last night flying into IniBuilds Brisbane.

Correct, it's a sim wide issue.

Not sure what the root cause is of the terrible pulsing, but in my case I was able to fly again (no airport pulsing) by turning the "Global Rendering Quality" slider down to "Low", then raising some of the settings back up a wee bit.

TLOD is 50, OLOD is only 25, but clouds and trees etc. are medium and clouds are high.

Was able to have an enjoyable flight KSEA to KPAE in the default 737 Max.

Perhaps worth trying until they fix this (I have a 10900K and 3070 and 32 RAM)

TLOD @ 50 and OLOD @ 25? Are you able to see anything beyond the nose of your aircraft at those settings??

Surprisingly yes - it doesn't seem that much worse than when I had both set 100.

In any case, another successful flight KLAX to KBUR just now no stutters or rubber banding at these settings (and I suffered with those at KLAX even pre-patch).

I should also mention I have photogrammety "OFF" as I couldn't stand the melted look.
