Just had the exact same issue.  The sim was almost rubber banding.  I didn't even try to takeoff.  Checking to see if any settings might have got bumped up post patch.  I know the default camera views

  • Good choice, if you want to use a working simulator the MSFS2020 in all aspects, is currently the best choice - IMO !!! cheers 😊

  • I am getting stutters where I didn't before.

Hi all
I am unsure if this is the same issue as I have but just in case it may help someone.
As of patch to MSFS2024 V1.2.7.0 I had very poor performance at NZNS. and NZCH (both airports developed by NZA) other airports I checked were fine. I assumed it was a problem with the NZA airports so I reached out to NZA. NZA quickly did an investigation which confirmed these airports had a sever performance issues BUT they had it with or without there scenery installed. I confirmed this. NZA then reached out to Asobo who replied saying it was a known issue and would be fixed in the next patch. Asobo would not indicate when the patch would be released. This may not be the same issue but it does sound similar?

Note I feel my computer is fine, its a intel I9 with a Nvidia 4090 card and 32 gig of ram so I dont feel it is in any way related to the computer system. I hope this may help someone.
Best wishes.
Bob

I have seen RAM usage increase since the patch... Are you maxing out?

Highest I've been up to is 34GB system ram and 15GB vram as reported in dev mode, running ultra settings in Fenix in 4K.

I have recently upgraded to 64GB of system ram for no reason other than it is suddenly affordable.

The bug has been known ever since before the update was released. It has been fixed internally over a week ago, yet the update was still shipped with this known game-breaking bug.

Matt, please, take this is constructive feedback: Asobo and MS need better QA before something is released. It cannot be the case that an update is rolled out with a known game-breaking issue. Especially when it has already been fixed on the dev branch. This, in my opinion, is unacceptable.

Essentially, this known issue was fixed over a week ago, but the update was released with the bug two days ago. You cannot make this up.

That would be a good guess since it was fine previously.

So when more people think on one night let's do a flight we have this issue ?
And we are all good with this ?
Unbelievable

Probably more people giving 2024 another try after a few patches, which ultimately is overwhelming the cloud infrastructure. Just a guess.

This should be irrelevant according to MS/Asobo.  They have publicly said they are at 5 9's and all of the availability issues with the servers from the launch have been resolved.

If a patch overwhelms the servers it sort of counters that message.

Just flew out of Christchurch in the VisionJet and on the ground the performance was simply unacceptable and my VRAM was almost maxing out, managed to take off (somehow) and once in the air performance returned to normal, VRAM stayed high.

(Edit: sorry for clarity flew out of there in the same plane a couple of times in the past week pre-patch 3 and it was all good on the ground)

What I’ve found is changing the graphic setting presets then saving then changing it to another preset, adjusting to your liking and saving again somewhat “nudges” the performance to come back. Make sure the adaptive setting is off.

Umm Sir, I would not shoot down another's idea, I said it's a "guess". In my line of work, people guess as they formulate the paths of influence. The fact that I took time to respond to this is Unbelievable. Any who, back to the REAL world where I fly REAL jets. At least there are no stutters or performance issues at the FBOs and ramps I park and depart from. Good day.

I think they are agreeing with you and expressing disdain at Asobo, not you.. could be wrong but that’s how I read it 🙂

I do disagree with your guess, but in a respectful way! I don’t think the servers were overloaded at all. But hey only Asobo knows for sure, it’s just fun to speculate!

It wasn't my guess, it was another's that I responded to😁. I just said it was a good guess, as I don't know what the issue is. I learned in military aviation to not swipe at someone that's trying to help. I may have read that post wrong and deleted my response. Thanks for your input.

It's getting harder to defend this mess, but they are working on it. I read on their forums that they knew about the issue, fixed it and didn't release it with patch three. Now that's a legendary USAF move that I'm familiar with. Hey, I hope you didn't read my original post, if you did, I apologize, I read yours quickly and missed the context.
😁

This game is now patched into an unplayable stuttery mess. When is the next patch release planned?
