I have AIG at 100% (freeware only though) and I wonder if it is useful to keep FSLTL activated. What does FSLTL offer that AIG doesn't have?

I use MSFS2024 and only use the models (and liveries) from AIG and FSLTL with BATC. So I don't use the injectors. So the question actually is: does FSLTL offer any models and/or liveries that AIG doesn't have? I am asking this because AIG has a LOT more models and liveries and because I like to keep my PC as clean as possible, so the less apps and stuff, the better (specially for whenever I need or want to reinstall Windows 11).

The only thing FSLTL has that AIG has not is a MD11 model. Otherwise no, no reasons to keep FSLTL.

Great! Then I will disable FSLTL for now and I probably won't install it again after my next OS reinstall. As I said: the less apps and stuff, the better.

As a side note re MD11, the one disadvantage I instantly noticed when using BATC instead of a traffic injector like FSLTL or AIG is the almost total absence of cargo flights and planes. Guess it is due to the way BATC injects traffic, but slightly disappointing to see all cargo areas empty. Not tested KMEM though. 

Does AIG still require the huge amount of updating it did back in the p3d days?  One thing I like about FSLTL is it's something I never have to mess with.  Even if it has limitations. 

It depends what you mean by 'require'. There are frequent updates available for airlines and flightplans, but you're not forced to update. Even if you do update the process is way, way, easier than it was a few years ago, with one click updates being the norm, although very occasionally a download still needs manual intervention.

The update process is mostly automatic, but of course you should do it by pressing the buttons. The only bad thing is the first install which is a bit complicated.

Some have said here in the forum that FSLTL models have less FPS impact than AIG when used with BATC.  I have both already installed and lots of SSD space so I’m using both with FSLTL at a higher priority level.

On a tangent...do either of these negatively affect IVAO MTL? I've asked this on the IVAO fora and have been met by a stony silence.

In particular, can I use FSLTL and the IVAO MTL concurrently?

No they don't. 

Ivao only uses its own models and does not care what else is installed.

I tested this recently and couldn’t find any significant difference.
