January 13, 20251 yr At least they can play. Im plauged by the need connection to internet but 2020 works just fine.
January 13, 20251 yr Rehashing the disastrous first 24 hours does not really add much value IMHO.. I agree that for the first time flightsimmer, 2020 is the better recommendation, but for the experienced 2020 user, there is a lot to enjoy in 2024, as long as you do not obsess over the bugs that are clearly there and need to be fixed. Personally, I have a short list of aircraft that I fly a lot: RV14, G36 and A36 Bonanza, and C414. I do also like the TDS GTN750 (a lot).. and the WT G1000 and G3X Garmins. And guess what... I can fly all of these aircraft in MSFS2024 at present.. and prefer the experience over 2020 which is still installed, but gets little to no usage.. 2024 looks better and feels better. So, for a new simmer: Stick with 2020 at present. For an experienced 2020 user, now is a good time to get started with 2024. 🙂 Edited January 13, 20251 yr by Bert Pieke Bert

January 13, 20251 yr Still going to wait a little longer before purchasing MSFS 2024. Imho still need some important improvements before it is stable enough. But in a few weeks/months depending on the development I will make the switch. January 13, 20251 yr I think a review one year later would be more fitting, seems pretty pointless right now especially as there's been no SU yet. January 13, 20251 yr Couldn't be bothered watching when it starts with a rehash of the disasterous launch. Old news. For my part, I can't be bothered playing msf24 either. The bugs in career mode haven't been fixed, and I haven't seen any news from Asobo that they have reckognized the bugs in this mode. Enjoy your 2024 and all the buggy software that comes with it as not all of us are flying casual G.A. flying. FS 2020 took 2+ years to be considered a serious sim and MS2024 will take the same time but it looks pretty though when the servers work . Edited January 13, 20251 yr by JBDB-MD80

No joke post. Just sums up how it is… MSFS 2020 was at least better flyable after 2 months. Imho accepting that it might take 2 years after release to becone stable without many bugs is not the way we should go. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0

Are you saying that we shouldn't start accepting reality as it's not good for simming? Or we owe Asobe a living so we should really start buying their sim NOW if we are already experienced and used to fixing bugs in 2020? At this point in time it's very common for major games to take 1 or 2 years to reach peak usability, there's no problem with accepting that state of affairs if you want to enjoy a stress free leisure life! I agree that we should not accept games not being ready at launch as it encourages cynical or incompetent software development but it IS what it IS..... Maybe that's what you meant? No its not acceptable but reality and people fall for it to be acceptable to praise the behemoth Company located in Redmond Washington. They are the ones that accept it and keep the pockets flowing at one of the most richest companies in the world with no once of responsibility of creating lackluster/buggy software. You can't even make this up. MS 2024 has a way to go to be considered acceptable. Edited January 13, 20251 yr by JBDB-MD80
January 13, 20251 yr At the moment, I use MSFS2020 for IFR / airliner flying and MS2024 for VFR/GA flying on VATSIM. As soon as MSFS2024 is more advanced I will use it exclusively. It is good to have both options available. Regards, Chris -- PC: Intel 13900K, Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4090, 64GB Fury Beast DDR5 RAM; Display: Varjo Aero VR

I am enjoying casual GA flying, but I'm equally enjoying airliner flying too. I have made many flights with the Fenix A320 and Just Flight RJ series. I am using ActiveSky, RealTurb V2, Map Enhancement Mod, TrackIR, GSX and many other 2020 mods that work fine in 2024.
