Answer is yes, but frankly I’ve been doing so much with this today that it’s possible the sim updated and then I swapped files. I wasn’t really keeping track of that.

  • I had to see for my own eyes!  TLOD is vastly improved.  Flying in the sim looks like flying for real again!  (Even though real simmers prefer their scenery to look like minecraft!) You can see p

  • Don’t normally bother with hassle of a beta but as the release version feels like a huge beta anyway I don’t suppose there’s much to lose.

Hey guys, any of you know what this might mean?

After every update I have to reinstall MSFS 2024 because i get these errors "unable to start 0xc0000142" or "unable to start 0xc00005c" and even "0xc000007b". Its frustrating that after every update I have to reinstall the sim.

Installed so flawlessly that I didn't even notice it had already been installed when I saw this thread here at AVSIM this morning...

Arrived home late evening, started FS 2024 and noticed it was already in the latest beta 1 update 🙂

Done that but no luck 🫠

Downloaded no worries via MSStore.  Flying VHHH to RJAA atm on A333 no issues?

How and where to best report that the beta patch causes my game to crash at start of flight?

Thanks Richard.

Your welcome maybe we can help you Greg

I would start by copying all of your community stuff out of that folder - then try that first - always best to do that first when having an issue - if you have stuff in it - not sure if this is your first install ever

Reverted to the non-beta and it still crashes.  So I have to revert to a clean community folder.  That's gonna take some time.

EDIT:    Made a new community folder and got right into flight.   So now I'm downloading the beta again.  I expect it to work.   Now begins the laborious process of trying to figure out which mod

or group of mods was causing the crash.

Use Addon Linker for this. You can get it from flightsim.to. Addon Linker creates virtual paths for your addons in the Community folder.

It woukd take you a few seconds to empty your Community folder with Addon linker. And you can add back stuff to your Community folder in seconds too.
