  • Or spend every evening flying in 2024 and ignore most of the posts on these forums 🤷‍♂️

  • I had to see for my own eyes!  TLOD is vastly improved.  Flying in the sim looks like flying for real again!  (Even though real simmers prefer their scenery to look like minecraft!) You can see p

  • Don’t normally bother with hassle of a beta but as the release version feels like a huge beta anyway I don’t suppose there’s much to lose.

SU1 has delivered massively.  Just look at the terrain resolution and texture sharpness here.

I mostly had photogrammetry off, but looks great in Wellington.  Vast improvement.

Good to see the vehicles are mostly driving on the correct side of the road too!!

No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.

Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower!

As a first time SU Beta user when SU1 is released do I uninstall the beta first?

No, you should just jump straight from beta to release version.

No, was fine for me. Maybe some conflicting add-on?

Never done Beta's before but thought I can't lose anything as I still have MSFS2020 installed.  I'm doing an overnight A333 from YSSY to RJAA and I'm blown away how loading, selecting aircraft/airports is now so smooth and quick and how amazing the night lighting is *fingers crossed* no CTDs enroute.  I'm running at 1440p and 130fps crazy!!

Right??? I've been simming for 20+ years and this is the first time that I am running the latest flight sim at the highest settings and it's working smoooooth on my current generation hardware.

It's never been like this - Flight sim was always the one program that would kill any computer and barely do 30 fps (if lucky) at the highest settings on the latest (of the time) hardware. No more - now we finally get high FPS without needing next year's computer.

Admittedly I have a high end machine, but the crucial difference is that it's not at all the latest and greatest - besides the 4090. The rest of the machine is a decent high end PC that's a few years old now.. and it still runs like this. Amazing is the word.

im just doing a short european hop in the A330, not bad for a default aircraft really is it? I only fly in VR too...its performing well👍

I've tried several flights with the stock a320. Before the patch I was able to fly just fine. Been shooting for more realistic flights and did not input the approach as I was using FSHUD. Each time once I got confirmation on the approach and went to put it into the MCDU the plane froze. Now, it was still flying and the clouds were moving but I could not make any input to the aircraft. Throttles wouldn't budge, flaps, altitude selector, nothing.

I've only done one flight in the A320Neo in the beta, but that hasn't happened to me.
