I'm having the same airport issue, is there a way around this or should I just uninstall add-on sceneries?

Cheers,

Pete

I got that bleed through at KOAK. It was not a custom airport. Two center lines at RY 27.

EDIT: Oakland Muni.

  • I had to see for my own eyes!  TLOD is vastly improved.  Flying in the sim looks like flying for real again!  (Even though real simmers prefer their scenery to look like minecraft!) You can see p

  • Don’t normally bother with hassle of a beta but as the release version feels like a huge beta anyway I don’t suppose there’s much to lose.

Just disable photogrammetry…not that difficult. For comparison, in the same scenario (ini JFK, FBW A380, BATC, at night, everything completely maxed out with no Autofps or other perf tweaks) MSFS 26 FPS…MS24 75 FPS. FS24 is coming together nicely.

Nah Photogrammetry is too awesome to disable.

So, some people find 2024 completely unplayable, so broken for them (how is this different from any game/sim/application).  2024 itself isn't broken as the videos I and others have posted show.  We now have SU1 beta which has fixed many issues already.!

No I don't find 2024 unplayable but I find it comical how many people here think that its acceptable in its current state with so many problems. But sure keep at it, beta test it and let us usual suspects believe it will be acceptable one day. Bottom line it is a Beta and rushed product to the market.

Disagree.

Agree.

It IS a rushed product and definitely has enough bugs to be a beta..... BUT when it works (as it is for me now in the Beta), it is utterly transcendant.

Imagine where we'll be in a year if we already have this level. Fix the bugs over a year (heck, take two), but we will all end up with something truly magnificient.

Is historical weather working? I've changed the time on a few flights but it doesn't seem to change the weather.

Everyone knew that eventually they would get the majority of major issues fixed. It is the only title i play that regularly CTDs, so there’s that. I tried troubleshooting it, but nothing else crashes on my system, so whatever. MSFS 2024 was definitely the worst AAA launch in a long time. Here we are two months later and there’s no marketplace, the “vast majority” of planes that will work fine according to MS are still broken, and i refuse to beta test this thing unless i can bill them hourly. They really burned the goodwill they had built up. Oh well.

It feels to me that there have been improvements server side independent to the Beta. Seems to load faster for one. I think there have already been and will continue to be minor tweaks and updates which will go unannounced. One of the many benefits to cloud gaming.

How long do Betas usually last? A couple of weeks? 2024 already runs so well for me and is such a vast improvement on it's predecessor I'm happy to wait.

Of course, there is nothing like playing in a broke sim.  I get 17 FPS on a good day.

All good then😆

Are you assuming EVERYBODY experiences EVERY reported issue?  If you have watched any of the videos I posted, it is clear to see SU1 beta has fixed many of them.  I am having an amazing time with 2024 SU1.  Feeling of flight and the massively improved visuals over 2020 are very much acceptable to this simmer.

You need to accept your settings are too high or something on your system isn't working right.  No way 17fps is correct on your PC spec - you are telling the truth about 17fps?

My system specs are higher than yours, but not so high that makes your 17fps and my 120fps a sensible gap in performance.

Ok, so OI have had the chance to fly a couple Career Missions last night and overall the only two negatives so far are:

- Runways have double runway markings;

- Stutters here & there like I had never experienced before.

Will try to delete the Rolling Cache and see if it get's better.

The missions run with the current date now, which is a major improvement! Before I was stuck at June 6 2023, which got a bit boring over time. :-)
