  • Or spend every evening flying in 2024 and ignore most of the posts on these forums 🤷‍♂️

  • I had to see for my own eyes!  TLOD is vastly improved.  Flying in the sim looks like flying for real again!  (Even though real simmers prefer their scenery to look like minecraft!) You can see p

  • Don’t normally bother with hassle of a beta but as the release version feels like a huge beta anyway I don’t suppose there’s much to lose.

To call ancient egyptians "arab" is almost on the same level as claiming that Cleopatra was black.

True, but Cleopatra was not Egyptian nor Arab, she was Greek.

I found DLSS is using a lot more vram now (I’m on dlss 4), especially if you raise your secondary scaling to 2.00. Even on a 3090, it made more sense to go back to TAA for me.

Just to follow up on this, it turns out I hadn’t set up dlss 4 in the sim properly, but now I have, whoa, what a difference. No need for secondary scaling, I can crank things to the max and still get excellent frames, amazingly crisp visuals (glass screens excepted), best quality I’ve ever seen.

If you’re not using it yet, run to the other thread about dlss4 to see how to set it up.

Meaning, publicly we all get 50-100 FPS without frame generation. In reality it’s more like 20.

Providing of course they’re all talking about Cleopatra VII (as most people are without realising there was 6 before her), because cleopatra was born in Syria 🙂

Your reality maybe.

Non frame gen I can maintain 60fps over Los Angeles with everything Ultra and TLOD 400. With frame generation that's 120 FPS

External Storage Three 4Tb HDs

Los Angeles + TLOD 400 = 120 FPS

Impressive stuff!

seen a couple people saying the iFly 737 Max is also working now. I don't own it, so I can't test.

Flying over LA at night (non-beta) is pretty cool @90fps wo FG and a lowly 3060ti. 🤑

This is the first time I've ever tried out an MSFS beta, and after some meandering around Port Moresby, I'm rather impressed. I'm still mainly flying MSFS2020, but with this SU1 beta, the imminent SWS Kodiak upgrade and this week's compatibility update for the Just Flight Vulcan, the pro-MSFS2024 tipping point might be approaching a bit quicker than expected.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

I did fight in 2020 today for the first time since 2024 was released. KSEA to KPDX in the Vision Jet, everything went smooth and no issues, but I got spoiled by 2024 scenery and resolution. My tipping point has tipped.
