I run it for 10-12 hours regularly. That said, there are a lot of people like Ron above who do also report issues so it is like everything still hit or miss. Usually for me if it becomes a stutterfest it means something else has taken the focus in the background and simply clicking on the MSFS window restores things. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

The way the scenery passed on approach and the sensation of speed on touchdown was phenomenal. Which sim was that? Hi, Believe it or not that was XP12 which is harder hitting than MS220, I cannot wait to see the results in that base platform. I should be able to run above ultra easily. Looks like the 4090 and AMD7950x3D is just fine for running the sim. Glad I wasn't able to find any 5090 cards. This is what I did to get that performance. ===================================== MS2020 and XPlane 12 Computer Cleanup ===================================== 1. Clean the rolling cache in MS2020 if you use one. 2. Open Nvidia Control Panel and turn off Shader Cache. 3. Change your monitor refresh rate to 60Hz. 4. Open C:\Users\Appdata\Local\Nvidia and erase all the files in the DXCache. Next open the GLCache folder and go into the first sub folder with the crazy folder name, delete everything below this sub folder. 5. Run disk cleanup. 6. Turn on Shader Cache via Nvidia Control Panel. 7. Download the latest DLSS files and swap them with the originals, remember to keep a backup in case this doesn't work. I use DLSS Swapper for MS2020. 8. Run Nvidia Inspector and change the entries below to the following. 9. Download Nvidia drivers 572.70 and install them. 10. Erase the Shader Cache files in XPlane 12\output\shadercache\vulkan sub folder Under "OTHER" in Nvidia Inspector --------------------------------- Enable DLSS-FG overide: Change number to the following - 0x00000001 Enable DLSS-RR overide: Change number to the following - 0x00000001 Enable DLSS-SR overide: Change number to the following - 0x00000001 Keep in mind you many not have all three entries, just change what you have in the listing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Override DLSS-FG Preset: Change number to the following - 0x00FFFFFF Override DLSS-RR Preset: Change number to the following - 0x00FFFFFF Override DLSS-SR Preset: Change number to the following - 0x00FFFFFF In MS2020 Use DLSS Super Resolution, Frame Generation is ON and Frame rate limit at 33% or 50% if 33 doesn't work. In either case the difference in fluidity should be noticable. So I setup the same flight: MSFS 2020, Aerosoft EDDF, FSL A321, BATC @ 5 Traffic (FSLTL 2K models), sitting at a gate with the aircraft powered up. AMD Adrenalin has FreeSync enabled, Chill set to 30 fps. FSR 2 Quality mode enabled in MSFS. AutoFPS is showing ~25 fps and the view is very choppy when you pan about both in the cockpit and using the drone camera. I set LSFG to 3.0, Adaptive, Target 165 frames, and started it. The LSFG screen counter is showing 25/165 and the monitor is confirming a framerate of 165. My GPU went from ~50% utilisation to ~65% and power went from ~120 watts to ~180 watts. When I pan about now it is as smooth as glass. It's incredible! 🥰 I tried changing FSR to TAA and this sharpened the displays slightly without any effect on performance, so I'll use that from now on. If I pan quickly in the cockpit I get a shadowy effect in places, but this is entirely bearable. I've got an early start so I'll try a flight tomorrow. LSFG appears to bypass the main thread bottleneck you get in 2020 when loaded with add-ons, and lets the GPU do its stuff with hardly any affect on graphics quality. The A321 is a resource hog compared to PMDG's 738, maybe because its an external program... March 8, 20251 yr Not sure this will work may need to upload it onto YouTube: This is at the gate in Newark, all setting maxed TLOD at 385/OLOD at 185, 200 AI active with LS off and then On. March 12, 20251 yr I suffer from pretty annoying rubberbanding with the newest version: it is super smooth but if I pan around slightly faster, this rubberbanding starts. March 12, 20251 yr The new one, adaptive. Basically the default settings otherwise, tested some alternative settings, the issue remains. FPS limited to 48 via RTSS and front edge sync.
