Will this be beneficial if you have a 4090?

I'm on a 4090 myself...  So I would say yes personally.

Would LSFG help in this scenario?

What refresh rate is your monitor?  You could run X2 and have a consistent 60FPS or run the new adaptive if you have a higher refresh rate monitor.

In either case the difference in fluidity should be noticable.

Normally I don't really like to recommend things that cost others money but the benefits I've seen for $7 makes me pretty comfortable with this one...

So pictures don't do LS justice because the beauty is in the fluidity and the motion but when you see this at 250kts with every setting pinned climbing out of KEWR with JFK, LGA and NYC visible moving stutter free with a real sense of speed at a solid Adaptive FG locked to 118 it is simply stunning.  I am in cruise right now and the beacon and strobes off the wing have the exact same rhythm as real life.  It's as mesmerizing to me as watching them in real life but it's also one of the easiest ways to spot a stutter is if that rhythm is interrupted at any time... If Lossless can keep up with this environment with good IQ, no artefacts and increased performance it is an absolute win win

So ALL the way behind the wing you can clearly see Sandy Hook which is the far side of the bay.  Even those lights are defined...

So,  yes ive tried it (4090, 7950X, 64GB RAM, 4K), multi monitors for popouts.

Yes, it is BETTER than native frame gen using Lossless scaling adaptive. It even allows me to use G-Sync WHILST having popout windows. (Native FG does not). And overall, it seems very very smooth. Only downside is the artefacts at the edge of the windows every now and then when looking around fast with Tobii, but that is a small price to pay. I've locked it at 117 FPS, as I like a 3 buffer for my 120HZ screen, which ensure G-Sync stays active at all times.  I've tried a MSFS 2024 RTSS fram cap but have disabled it as it doesnt play well with popout windows. Didnt make much difference when adaptive is active in LS, for some reason its smoothing MSFS24 out too!

Thank you sir!  It's the best flight simming experiences I've ever had in my life and there is no way I could produce those results at any FPS let alone consistent 118 (120 Hz monitor) without Lossless.  The new adaptive mode is absolutely my favorite and it is only beeta so only going to get better.

Hi,

Doesn't work on the experiential screens.

Hi Mike,

I know that you have connected 3 displays to 1 pc and not 2 displays like I have .

Here I drag LS to the extra screen and when running it with multi monitor checked,  both the main screen and the extra screen are doubled or tripled.

I can see it by the FPS on both screens.

I have given up on lossless sadly.

Loved it but it keeps freezing my computer.

Good new is I now know the problem stems from my video card as I have just changed my computer and the only thing I have kept is the video  card.

Even did a complete re install of msfs

It is very well worth it if your computer can take it. I recommend it even if I personally  can not use it.

MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

I've tried it. I don't know if this is because of the adaptative FG or because I retuned my amount of AI, but I do get a smoother sim, even with the A380. The advantage is that, if I need to reduce my FPS lock (in RTSS), I no longer have to mess with the FG multiplier. So count me as a convert.

When the sim is just "unlocked" like this it allows textures to be sharper at greater LOD distances WHILE making the sim smoother.  It is truly a win win

So you just run your sim with the native framerate unlocked, right?

Hi,

I've been fortunate with flicker/stutters, they are just about gone without LS. One base platform down, one to go. Can only imagine what it would look like with LS working on three screens.

In all forms of LS, most of you all probably want:

Sync mode: OFF (Allow tearing)

Multi-display mode: ON

You might want either G-Sync support:  Off or On

I am...  I In NVCP  I have G-Sync on, Refresh Rate to Highest Available, no FPS lock and then no lock in MSFS either.  I took all the limiters off LOL.

Lossless set to Adaptive and 118 as a target although I saw 117 recommended as well which allows me to run VSync On and not worry about jitter or tearing at all.  Monitor refresh is 120hz.  I know this isn't the recommended setup but it's working for me... 🤷‍♂️

I am on an i712700K @5.0 with 64GB DDR4 and a 4090 so not the latest CPU or memory by any means.  No need to upgrade anything.

Do you guys really manage to run a 4h plus session with LSFG? In my case, usually after around 30mins, it becomes a stutterfest or simply stops working...

My goodness Mike, that is the best I have EVER seen your setup run!!  That video was stunning.  The way the scenery passed on approach and the sensation of speed on touchdown was phenomenal.  Which sim was that?
