April 7, 20251 yr 2024 runs way better for me than 2020 ever did in DX11 Regarding blurry textures, i find turning off the the Dynamic Settings option helped. Edited April 7, 20251 yr by Tuskin38
April 8, 20251 yr Yesterday I did my lowest framerate test : FT Amsterdam Schiphol / rw 24 facing the terminals ) Overcast AIG RealTraffic + PSXT (EHAM 12% parked ac) I remarked that the lowest franerate is 29 compared to 37 in MSFS 2020 Is this AIG ? I remember reading that AIG models are more taxing in MSFS 2024. Or is it FT Amsterdam Schiphol? - - The moment I set FG to On + Lossless Scaling 3x the framerate is good but I always want a good starting point. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
April 8, 20251 yr Just found out that my Rudder assignment is not working anymore. It all looks very weird too. Anyone else experienced this and solved it ? April 8, 20251 yr I was hoping for a new beta release today hopefully fixing the controller setup issues at least. Any news on anything on the horizon? Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Since going to SU 2 Beta I've had many occurrences of controls not working in the aircraft but the profile shows them active. If I use the search for input function in controller profile and move the control (e.g button 2) the profile shows the correct binding. But, when I return to the aircraft the control (e.g. button 2) does not do anything. I also use an external controller monitor to verify the controller is setting the appropriate signal thru the USB connection to Windows. The only way I have found to fix the situation is to delete the binding and then reconnect the same binding. Then the control works properly. I am pretty sure this is an SU2 Beta issue because I opted out of the beta for a couple days and did not experience the problem. As soon as I reinstalled SU2 Beta the problem returned. I think it will be tomorrow. They have a MSFS 2024 online maintenance scheduled for 9:00 AM tomorrow probably in preparation for another beta version. But don't quote me on that, lol. April 8, 20251 yr I'm still not on SU2. Based on what I've read so far, I'm apprehensive. I don't want to risk not being able to change the controller settings - or loose them entirely. In terms of performance, it seems that there are conflicting reports (as usual). Some are saying performance is considerably better, whilst some are having an opposite experience. At this stage, I think I'll just stay on the fence. I'm happy with how the sim works in SU1. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
April 8, 20251 yr Today I parked my ac next to rw 24 FT Amsterdam Schiphol and watched ac landing, taxiing and taking off for 5 hours, using AIG, FsTraffic, Real Traffic and PSXT. View spread over 2x 4K Sony Bravia tv’s. FG enabled + LS 2x —> 63-70 fps on each screen. Tried live weather, oc, realtime and dusk. Completely stable and no framerate drop over time. April 9, 20251 yr On 4/4/2025 at 6:22 PM, Fielder said: Correct. Barely an inconvenience, LOL. I do not see any difference when panning the view down to the dash. Because I changed the gamma setting. But this brightens things up to much. Which is not an issue by using the new EV setting to unbrighten it right back down to normal. Only now the gamma keeps forward windscreen view the same visibility as the panel It is like a completely different time of day looking out of the window from the cockpit compared to being outside and mainly focussing the view on the sky. The lighting of the sim is completely broken.
