April 6, 20251 yr Are KJFK, KLAX and Heatrow bespoke airports, they tank my fps. I am hovering on about 170 fps around Paris with photogrammetry and tlod 200 olod 200. When i enabled FSR3 and FSR4 FG i got over 200 fps, then CTD. So just FG from FSR4 now. My RX9070 is putting on load over 3000 MHZ and 250 watts. Great overclocker, but i dont want to go around bespoke airports, because they tank the performance to 40-50 fps with stuttering. What a bummer, in bespoke airport and around London i get stutteríng and my vram goes to max ,16 GB. So something right and something wrong in beta, slowly getting better. P.S. i dont have anything in my community folder.

April 6, 20251 yr Hi, I'm in the SU2 Beta and I've lost my control settings. I mean, my settings work, but if I try to change them o add a new one it's impossible! It appears [object Object] in the screen and I can't do anything! I suppose this may be temporary, and with the final SU2 I will be able to have the control settings enabled. Greetings Edited April 6, 20251 yr by John Fields

Greetings I've been able to get around that situation by hiting ESC, and then starting with a SEARCH based or keyboard on controller input. It's a known bug in the present Beta 😕 Edited April 6, 20251 yr by jcomm Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

April 6, 20251 yr Ok joined the beta for 24. Performance for me is not to great and still got the popping sounds departing San Diego with default scenery. Also had my textures resolution down to medium. April 6, 20251 yr SU2 with 3080 12gb, 144 hz monitor, using the new FSR3 in-sim FG. Seems to work well, but has anyone found a way to limit FPS yet? The Nvidia app limiter doesn't seem to work. Thanks

I guess I'll have to wait for Nvldia to catch up to the latest SU2, or for Asobo to take the next step and include an in-sim limiter that works with the FSR3 FG.
April 7, 20251 yr Why are people lowering their Texture Res to Medium all of a sudden? I mean I know it's obviously to decrease vram use...but is something with the beta causing even more vram usage? I'm out of the loop on this one.

But it doesn't unload the photogrammetry right away if you're already in a flight. Edited April 7, 20251 yr by Tuskin38

I thought we were moving forward with 2024. Looks like it will be a long time. I am beginning to wonder if something is fundamentally broken and they are struggling with it. The whole premise for reselling the sim as 2024 was because they said they needed to break away from the old sim to implement new technology to move things forward, but seems to be proving very difficult for them. At this stage, I would settle for a reset, and MSFS2020+. Obviously this is a personal thing for me, as I have hundreds of addons for 2020, but I haven't bought a single one for 2024 yet, as I have no confidence in it at the moment, so a 2020+ with a few extra bells and knobs would have been acceptable to me. I am really not seeing how my additional £199 purchase has been worth it. A pity. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). But can't use it with the audio popping and stutters that happen in conjunction with the popping. I've had to go back and use my 2020 which has had no issues audio wise, yes it's not as nice graphic wise without the 24 lighting l, but waiting to the day these issues with 24 get worked on. Yep .. as of this new version of the beta i have been encountering vram limits and had CTD's which i didn't have before; (and yes i do know how to identify when i am exhausted on vram). However, personally i'm fine with it though because in my head this sim is sitting firmly in the experimental category with only 1 addon installed and will probably remain that way till MSOBO optimizes the sim in a way where i no longer feel like there is a high risk of stutters, vram exhaustion or possible ctd on finals at a large airport at the end of a long flight. Happy to remain on 2020 till then. April 7, 20251 yr The issue I'm seeing with having to lower textures (and other settings) is purely because Asobo still haven't got DX12 running good enough, it's still a drain on performance overall much more so than DX11 in 2020. Yes there are "new" graphics settings and what not, but the fact DX12 is still in beta in the former Sim and doesn't run as good as it should do in the recent Sim, suggests there's much more optimisation work to be completed. At the moment though it seems they're throwing other means of performance tools as default in the Sim (which is great), but at the expense of not actually working enough on getting the base engine ticking over better. The persistent VRAM issues are evidence of this, even though they told us it would be improved in SU2.
