April 6, 20251 yr I also like ASFS in Active Mode. MSFS2020/24 is a bit over dramatic when producing weather for my taste. Combined with REX ATMOS its really nice. I just wish a widget with METAR like we had it in P3D was possible. Also depiction of rain building up with in a range i havent seen. This looks cool with default weather. Everything else is just better with ASFS in my opinion. Michael Moe Michael Moe
April 6, 20251 yr @AbrahamGR I haven't installed ASFS in this latest install of FS 2024 SU2 Beta, because, I decided to ba as beta tester as I could and leave the Community folder empty, at least during teh Beta ... But I ended up already pooring in the INIBUILDS A350 and the A2A Comanche, so my next will be ASFS, and I will try my best to find situations that can look like the one you describe. My past experience in FS 2020 and now FS 2024, with ASFS is that it can do a much better job than default ASOBO / METEOBLUE weather. But in the last few days, both in X-Plane 12 and in FS 2024 I have been able to find rather huge discrepancies between their native Real World Weather depictions and what going on in the Real World, including what you describe (???). I even mentioned that in two posts, one at the FS 2024 forum here at AVSIM and the other at the .Org (X-Plane). Strange indeed... I will try to give ASFS a try today, in Active mode. And I will try to report back. Regarding you asking for refunds, and the uninstalls... well, who am I to blame you 🤣🤣🤣 (well, less the refunds which I rarely ask for...) I'll wait... It's Beta after all, and if I accepted participating I have to accept it's quirks too ! No hurry ! I only hope the final release allows for ASFS as well as RealTurb to work just they have been. I also didn't install RealTurb this time. Okay…..🤔 abrahamGR has also posted on the PSXT forum badmouthing PSXT. As an AS user for MSFS2020 I have experienced very good comparisons in the sim to IRL conditions. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB

April 6, 20251 yr So the OP came here after trying 3 times, was told by multiple people including myself to reach out to Damian himself who also posted here directly willing to help and in less than an hour after failing to take any of the suggestions or reach out for help had already requested a refund, then states they also refunded 2024 and also requested a refund of BATC... Seems to me there is only one common denominator here... If I were Damian I would be quietly black flagging them from future purchases but that's just me. Some end users aren't worth the cost of admission with the grief they cause long term... Doesn't Steam prevent you from re-purchasin an item you refunded? The second time, I found that no matter what I did, the terrain textures were always blurred with too many trees. I requested a refund for Active Sky because, after three flights, I realized the METAR wasn't being interpreted correctly. What do I do? 300 flights? And yes, I'm always open to new opportunities if the actions (not words or teasers) prove that it actually works. Active Sky is a great product; I really liked it in Prepar3D. If only you contact support like others mentioned. You won't keep getting refunds especially if you can't do basic things first.

Thanks for reminding me. Indeed, BATC refunded my money, and they were very kind. Actually, it's a habit to buy a product or a license and expect it to work as advertised. Although I'm optimistic by nature, and I've contributed a lot to the development of PSXT and REALTRAFFIC (investing my money monthly in a professional license and also testing and discussing it with its creators), I'm also a free citizen who loves to freely express his opinions about the products he uses, to encourage the critical perspective of future customers. The thing is, some product owners get offended (of course). 🙂 Thanks for reminding me about BATC. I'm currently using FSHud and it's wonderful, and also, in fact, PSXT with Realtraffic. Two highly recommended products.

It's simpler: I buy the product. I try it (as many times as I want, not as many times as you tell me I should). If it doesn't work, I report it so they can improve it, and maybe I'll ask for a refund, until it does. P.S.: I've asked for refunds four times in my entire life. Not bad.
