  • Just to echo @edpatino and @AnkH, the Mamu "Powerlines and Solar Farms" package is just excellent. And, I might add, so are his "Marinas" and "Project Lifts." They are now payware (each is 15.00 euros

  • I'm surprise nobody talks about a very good powerline addon available for MSFS2020 as a freeware by Mamu (Federico Pinotti). I've been using it for years I don't really remember from where I got it, m

  • So I guess we all agree here that the Mamu Design powerlines addon is a much more valuable product, right  ?

It looks to me as if the Orbx pylons work well in MSFS 2020 and all the reported faults here are only to be seen in MSFS 2024.
This is next to a power station in the UK, but in MSFS 2020:

Am I imagining things, or does that tower closest to the camera look like two different models superimposed on each other?

Those are mine, and actually yes, sometimes it happens that you can have 2 different pylons (or more) in the same spot

This come from how the source data is mapped. I may try solve it in the future 😊

Now I am confused. You say that those pylons in the screenshot are yours, and yet Reader states that they are the ORBx pylons??

Although for the life of me I questioned why did I want to install monstrous blots on the landscapes?

For the record I meant the solar farms not the powerlines.

As far as I am aware, that freeware version of the powerlines addon is no longer available. It is now payware.

Oh I was wondering where those addons went. Didn't realized they'd switched to payware.

That is exactly the point I was making a lot earlier in the thread.
For me, it isn't worth comparing it within a few cents price difference, it is simply that Mamu's pylons are a much better implementation (in my view).

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I bought the Mamu Powerlines today.  However, I haven't really been able to see any in areas I KNOW they exist.  Is there something I need to do to insure it's working ( I so see it enabled in my library)?

Please make sure that once unzipped, the folder you place in community (a-mamudesign-powerlines)  must directly contains the .JSON files

It must be

Community/a-mamudesign-powerlines/content.json and so

It must NOT be something like Community/a-mamudesign-powerlines/a-mamudesign-powerlines/content.json

Fly out of CYCD down the coast at 2000 ft.. When you get to Maple Bay, you need to avoid the power lines that power Vancouver Island  ( I can see them from my desk) and they are portrayed correctly by Mamu 🙂
