CESSNA CITATION CJ3+ (2020/2024) "coming soon"

Why do you think it is at the same level as the 525 ?

There's an hour long youtube video by Matt Nischan (WT developer) about the impressive depth of simulation in the Longitude.

The "problem" with the Longitude is that the IRL airplane is so highly automated that it's hard to perceive all the stuff going on behind the scenes, and that, of course, translates over to the addon as well.

IMHO, the Longitude may actually be more deeply simulated than the TorqueSim.

And yeah, I own both and like them both very much. 😎

What about the Longitude in …..any good, I didn’t own it in FS2020 but I see you can purchase it in FS2024???

Is this for MSFS 2020 and/or for MSFS 2024?

Also, what does this addon offer that the default Cessna biz jets in the sim don't?

I mean, that's kinda like asking why a payware 737 MAX is being developed when there's already one in the sim 🤙

It looks like a mashup of the CJ airframe and the Longitude cockpit, which is kinda nice, IMHO.

No idea how deeply simulated this one is (for $20 I wouldn't expect "study level"), but I'd say it's got a place.

and at $ 27 ? which is what it costs.

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

You look at the Blackbird c130 and the Inibuilds 350 and you see that price I don't think we can differentiate between what is studio level and what is not.

Let's not split hairs...

IMHO, there aren't any "study level" add-ons for less than $40-ish.

Except the loss-leader PMDG 736.

And the recent Alpha release of the BlackBird Sims C-130, which will likely end up being a $60-$70 addon when it goes Production.

Both of which are complete outliers for their own valid reasons.

There is a lot of work that’s gone into that model, and if you are a biz jet aficionado, then it would be a great addition to your hangar……and all for the price of 3 beers.

Well done and thanks for enhancing our flight simulation choices.
Any idea what your next project might be Yaniv?

Cheers

Can anyone who purchased comment on texture quality of interior?  Mainly interested in the cockpit.  From the shots and videos I cannot tell if they are high quality and just "factory new", or possibly very low/ simple quality.

It seems to be getting slammed in the comments over at FS Elite.....

It’s a shame, I’ve got a citation rating hidden somewhere in my log book, the old 500 series not this fancy new sort, but  I’d like to get my hands on a good citation model for nostalgia.

I guess this isn’t it.

There is currently no reason to spend money on a bizjet in MSFS 2024

- Cessna Citation Longitude

- Cessna Citation CJ4

- Default Cirrus Vision Jet

If you want to try out a new avionics suite and can live with a few bugs, there is the Pilatus PC-24.

We are in this weird situation where default planes are just as good or even better than the payware versions.

Next contender: Flight FX's Citation X. Let's see whether they can step up to the plate, or are they going to get knocked out in Round 1 by MSFS "MIke Tyson" 2024?

Pretty much anything that isn't an airliner either gets slammed or ignored over there.

You should check out the vastly improved Default CJ4. Definitely worth some evaluation time.

That's what I'm seeing as well.

In terms of this airplane, I see promise if he sticks with it.  It flies well and it's refreshing to fly a CJ with an entirely new cockpit (compared to the CJ4).  I got a CTD midway through my first flight...hmmm.

  • Some of the graphics are well done.  Some, (the switches, mostly) need some work.
  • The actions of the knobs and switches on the touchpad are wrong.  They need to be remapped.
  • Inconsistency on how to interact with the switches.  Some are a left click, some are a mouse wheel.
