Just for the record in case, no one noticed, GlideSlope is the rebranding of BMWorld.

Ohh

So garbage then.

Thanks

Actually, it's not at all bad. I'm happy with it.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Also previously known is BMWorld/AMSim

There were rumors of pirating/steeling other developers work.  Don't know if true or not.

It was true. All of it.

That's why they rebranded.

No, not garbage.

But the developer has a history of software piracy.

And also a history of choosing very weird company names. I mean "Beautiful model of the world" already seems like a badly translated Russian phrase, but "Glideslope Pro"?

But yeah, a developer pirating other developers' works to harm them is definitely worse.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

From a KMIA centric standpoint I've found that it looks much better than LVFR's version.  However it has poor performance.

I don't think it's garbage, but it has other flaws.

In the past I bought their previous scenery using their subscription system of a full price of Euro 25 for all the sceneries they'll produce at the time and in the future, and they were in general very good and very well detailed. After several months or maybe a year of subscribing, they changed the terms and the initial offering/conditions were not respected, so for every new airport, you were supposed to pay a price.

The author is kind of a controversial guy...

The dev DID make a change upon request, with the El Dorado Furniture building next to RWY 9 over by the Eastern U /  Western U cargo areas.  I can't complain about that.

Sure.

It's also the only Phoenix you're gonna get, the only Oakland, the better San Diego, the way better Miami, etc. etc. ad infinitum

That complicates things significantly, no?

I take it there is no discount for owners of the BMW/AMSim versions in FS2020? I had only just bought KPHX KMIA and KSAN when I moved to FS2024.

There are various deals and offers to move products from the likes or Orbx to Glideslope. Check their website. I had pretty much all their stuff anyway, and they were very efficient about moving it all over to their own site. In some cases there was a free upgrade for 2024 or to the latest compatible version, in a couple the 2024 version was a small upgrade fee.

I've always found Alexey to be very helpful in the past. I assume he's still there. I thought their orginal (BMW) subscription was a great setup, and that site is still there and you can still get free updates for anything you bought there in the original package. Not to the very latest versions but the ones I've tested seem to wortk fine in 2024 anyway.

As to all the piracy stuff, I wasn't in the room so I have no comment. All my dealings with them have been excellent and showing full integrity in their behaviour towards their customers.

Agreed, I had no issues having my purchases through ORBX, Contrail & IniBuilds tranferred to my new "Glideslope Pro" Account. no questions asked.
