My base i7-10400 clock speed is 3.8GHz. Turbo Boost (Intel tech) was increasing it to 4.3GHz automatically at certain points under load. CTD. My Asus MB with AI overclocking allows me to jack it up to 5.1MHz safely. Instant CTD and error with MSFS2024 SU3 beta 10.5.9.0 and 10.5.10.0 when launching program at that speed. Interestingly, SU2 and the earlier SU3 betas worked fine under both overclocked conditions. Now that I’ve locked the CPU to never go over 3.8GHz SU3 10.5.10.0 beta runs fine in a vanilla state. I suspect a lot out there have overclocked systems and that’s causing the CTDs. Of course, the apparent Simconnect issue seems to be an entirely different issue.

Using Turbo Boost up to 5.5 GHz and all runs fine without FSUIPC….

It seems that your system gets unstable with a high OC and how you use it now is a Sweet spot for it.

He posted that in the SDK Forum (someone just copied it to the "Official" forum), unfortunately the devs don't ever post in the actual Beta Section where they're needed most..!

Nice advise!

Meanwhile just did a PERFECT flight on ini A350-900 RKSI-RJFF from gate to gate with BATC and BATC Traffic map under 1.5.10.0 🙃

Forgot to mention - RealTurb and MSFS_AutoFPS were active.

So no idea what's happening. On my pc with batc, fs2024 crashes instantly at airport loading. Using 1.5.9 it was working.

So there is something else probably. 1.5.10.0 works for me with ini A300-600 and BATC as well. Lets see new update. Just wondering what they broke this time...

Has anyone noticed that if you download the beta, which should be clean push, that when you verify those files it does NOT pass the integrity test? And then it says it will reacquire them? Just wondering if the push flawed from the start?

verify those files

In steam? Verifying the files never worked in Steam. it always redownloads stuff, right from 2020 onwards.

If you are talking about something else.. I don't know? How are you verifying files?

I just under Properties select Installed Files, Verify Integrity of files. It seems to always push missing files for me even when a new SU? Seems weird to me, why push more files when its  a new SU?

The sim probably alters files during run time that makes Steam think they're are wrong, so running verify would redownload them.

Verifying integrity, at least in 2020 I haven't tested with 2024, would also completely delete your community folder, that's why people are saying you shouldn't do that.

Yeah, don't do this. There's no need to, and it always thinks the files are modified even when they are not. Don't use it at all, and let the sim handle the files.

Seems like a waste of time to code that function(verify) if it is not useful. But the comments above makes sense.

That function is a Steam option it has nothing to do with MSFS, the reason it doesn't work well with this title is because it wasn't designed to be installed via Steam only.

So when you have files all over the place in Windows like MSFS the steam verify option doesn't really work very well, it's perfectly fine for most other steam based games, so no it's not a waste of time 🙂
