  • You are being overdramatic for a beta test Stuff like this is expected, that's why they do these tests. Had this gone live to everyone I'd understand, but this is an optional beta. It's

  • Seems like anytime anything connects via Simconnect, the simulator crashes. Love your work, Asobo!

Anyone else think that the term "flighting" is pathetic?

How is it pathetic? Do you even know what that word means?

Remember SU2?

(also countless reports about stutters while landing)

But no CTDs.

Yes it's very much a term from that industry. Just a normal word really.

Has anyone seen or heard if there is a solution for these CTD's? I've uninstalled/reinstalled FSUIPC, tried running from my backup exe.xml, tried running with a clear community folder and nothing has helped. I've been on the msfs forums and seen nothing that seems to help. Is leaving the beta my only option? Will that even fix anything?

Presently the solution consists in going back to SU2 (opting out of beta), unfortunately.

And that is exactly what i did yesterday… first time since 4 years. SU3 Beta had just too many CTDs

If the beta is problematic, just leave it and rejoin with the next release.. if that’s fixed. Why struggle with it so much if this release is bad. That happens occasionally, but really, just leave the beta for a few days and then either rejoin or just wait for the release.

SU2 works pretty good.

Ok well then I guess the options are suffer the beta, or drop back to 2020. I hope it all starts working well for everyone soon. I’ve had a good time with the SU 2 release.

Or you can go back to SU2? I did but missed the outstanding advances that come with SU3 beta like the AI model matching.  So I'm back in SU3 and the RJ together with all the other Just Flight planes. Given that they all work fine it shouldn't be too hard for Asobo to find out what they borked?

Just tried the new SU beta, bought the updated Inibuilds LEIB and jumped into the Asobo 172, CTD shortly after Taxi.

I have so little time to mess around with MSFS these days, so coming out of the Beta so I can just enjoy my limited time in the SIM.

it is what it is.

New PC Ryzen 9850X3D - 32gb ddr5 6000Mhz - MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk wifi - Gigabyte wind force gaming OC 5090 - 2TB Sabrent NVMe. Old PC - Ryzen 5900x - 32gb 3600Mhz RAM - Asus Strix X570-F Motherboard - ASUS TUF OC RTX 3090 - 1TB Sabrent NVMe. AOC AGON 32" 144Hz - Honeycomb Yoke - Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog. T Flight Rudder Pedals - Trackir.

Guys, I hope this helps someone. I couldn’t even start 1.5.9.0 and 1.5.10.0 was constant random CTDs. I removed everything from Community folder, exe.xml and still no luck. What fixed it was turning off hyper threading and Intel Turbo Boost in the BIOS and making sure there was no overclocking going on with the CPU and the GPU anywhere. I’ve flown two days in a row with nary a hiccup, and the performance with 1.5.10.0 is great. No stutters on landing. Like I said in another post, this SU3 beta is highly sensitive to memory and CPU timing issues. I hope they sort it out. Also, make sure you don’t have anything running in the background in the system tray, like Navigraph or FS2Crew. Check your startup apps which run when you log in.
