June 28, 2025Jun 28 Well whatever is in the community folder for the prior beta no problem. This beta, hard crash to the desktop every time. Backup the community folder and let FS build the (empty) community folder then no problem - it will load properly. Not going to start peeling things out: PMDG, FS Labs, Fenix, Inibuilds A350, GSX, AS, numerous addon airports. MS seems to suggest Simconnect is the culprit. What this beta says to me is that the release notes are a pack of lies. Looking at them, there's no way that the minor tweaks that they state could cause this chaos.

Looking at them, there's no way that the minor tweaks that they state could cause this chaos. Disregarding the same "know it alls" from the spokespeople above, generally in all games when patches get released not every single fix or change is listed in the notes. Some developers do it better than others, in this case Asobo can be good and other times "bad" in that they miss things or repeat something that was fixed previously for example. As for SU3 Beta releases there has been a lot of regressions (more than usual!) so chances are there a lot of other changes under the hood that don't get picked up in the patch notes, so whilst the word "lies" may be a bit strong it's simply a "pack of missing information" for me and yet more proof that there's zero internal regression procedures let alone internal testing capabilities that you'd expect from an AAA Title. It's just a computer game so, if they lie, it's only par for the course. It's no big deal. I'm used to it. I'll just wait for the fix. Edited June 28, 2025Jun 28 by jarmstro

Some airports are also released with silly issues. Alignment of runway lines and lighting should be a top of the list beta test check, so quite how so many have missed the mark in this department is rather difficult to understand. There are others of course, but that's the one that drives me into the twilight zone of despair Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

June 28, 2025Jun 28 Where's the patch fixing 1.5.10.0? Is it so complicated or is it a summer time? Biarritz, Saint-Tropez, Nice, Cannes, you name it.

Don't worry, summer vacation season hasn't started yet. They're getting a lot of telemetry in the official thread, so they're certainly cooking something. In any case with the current heatwave I'm not playing MSFS or my computer doubles as a space heater. 5800X3D, 64GB 3200 RAM, 7900 XT 20GB
June 28, 2025Jun 28 On the PMDG 777 how do I get an overspeed warning sitting on the runway? Brand new install with beta. My God how bad can this thing get???? I know worse....2024 has turned into Pro Flight from the early 90's Chris Chiozza
June 28, 2025Jun 28 I understand each of us has your own experience with the various SU 3 betas. I also understand that Asobo and Microsoft must deal with very complicated issues which probably differ greatly from one system configuration to another. My current configuration is running 1.5.10.0 just wonderfully and I could not be happier. Complex add on airport (bmworldamsin KSAN) Complex local scenery (Modern Cities San Diego) Complex addon aircraft (Flysimware C414aw) ActiveSky, Map Enhancement, FS Realistic,TDS NXi, FSLTL ... No Frame Gen but capped at 60 in game, DLSS Quality All setting High except Buildings and Clouds at Ultra TLOD 305 and OLOD 200 The only time I see less than 50 FPS is takeoff and landing where I see 25 FPS for about 10-seconds and sometimes 4 FPS for a second or two. In flight I see a rock solid 60FPS. However, once in a while the identical settings/situation yields only 25 FPS max and 2 FPS or less taking off or landing. The only way to get back to 60 FPS is to restart the sim. But 4 out of 5 time I see the high FPS version. However - if I load the Asobo TBM 930 my system can't produce double digit FPS anywhere near any airport. The 930 just kills my system. I am sure we happy users are flying machines that are either less resource intensive or have better coding that does not stress the sim software. I know this SU3 Beta has been frustrating but you should appreciate the difficulties facing the developers in debugging such complex software running in near infinite variety of hardware and software environments. And, without all of us stress testing the Asobo/Microsoft offering - there would be no way for them to know if their software works properly in every one of those many different configurations. FS 2024 had to be released into the Wild in order to test it. June 29, 2025Jun 29 Crash to desktop either before the loading screen finishes or when selecting fly now. Emptied community folder, same. Gave up. Went back to 2020 for this weekend and forgot how robust it is, how the aircraft selection menu makes sense, how nice it is to have Chaseplane and Flow and zero issues. Might stick with it for longer….
